Is there a trade deal with China? Is it really a deal or just a pull-back to status quo ante? Is Trump advancing US interests in this well-executed trade battle plan or was this poorly conceived from the start . . . and harmful?

I think the jury's still out, but I haven't seen that the Chinese are offering much in compromise - and it's not even clear if there's going to be an agreement. But it's clear they are working on something and I'm sure Trump will sell it as the greatest trade deal ever. The proof will be in the details.

More Americans are saying the current economy is due to President Donald Trump than his predecessor Joe Biden, according to anew Gallup poll.

Trump has consistently blamed Biden for the turbulent stock market after the president triggered a global trade war with his tariffs.

As the president marked his first 100 days in office this week, nearly half of Americans (46 percent) surveyed in April believe that Trump is more responsible for the unstable economy, up 3 percent from March, according to Gallup. This compares to the 27 percent who blame Biden, which remained the same as March’s survey.

I saw a stat that about 70% of all cinema-release films worldwide are made in the US - and films released in the US is quite a bit higher.

i spent the last 72 hrs completely unplugged.

got home last night and just started catching up on news over last 3 days to see some clips of interviews he as done ( as well as the EDITED OUT parts ) and some of his Truth Social posts and i literally said aloud, "were forked"

Thats what i said as i closed the browser.

His destruction is purposeful. I now think that he wants to burn it all down and rebuild it in his way, that benefits him and those close to him to rule the entire planet.

Oh hey look, we got excluded from tpp and replaced by China. Remarkable how stupid trump 1.0 and Trump 2.0 is. Plus the idiots who voted for him.

So just a reminder, under the old system, we exploited the capital/trade surplus of developing nations to feed our consumption. That tradeoff was incredibly lopsided to our benefits...and all via our dollar.
