Control of the Senate is on the line. Assuming the current numbers will stand on recount, only 1.9% of the vote (90,295 votes) separated Republican incumbent David Perdue from his Democratic challenger, Jon Ossof. The third place Libertarian candidate received 2.3% of the vote (144,566 votes). In the special election, Raphael Warnock led the pack with 32.9% of the vote trailed by incumbent Kelly Loeffler who received 25.9% of the vote. Doug Collins, the other major GOP candidate, finished with 20% of the vote. Various other Democrat candidates finished with a combined 15.5% of the vote. Various other GOP candidates finished with 3.4% and roughly 2% for independent candidates.

Andrew Yang has posted that he will be moving to Georgia to help campaign for Ossof and Warnock.

They lost me when they said "research done by Sidney Powell and Lin Wood." Those are two of the most ignorant people I have ever seen take center stage in a controversy. How anyone gives them one ounce of credibility is beyond me, yet "Q!" I also got a chuckle out of the words "His words ALWAYS have a deeper meaning." LMAO! Trump easily takes the prize of being the most shallow president of the last 125 years plus. By deeper meaning, they must mean his words always have a self-serving meaning even if it's not readily apparent.

There’s no logic, really. I think they are delusional. And it’s a mass delusion that a lot of people are sharing, evidently.

look who is trying to get in a little extra voter suppression

A federal judge on Monday ordered two Georgia counties to reverse a decision removing thousands of voters from the rolls ahead of Jan. 5 runoff elections that will determine which political party controls the U.S. Senate.

The counties seemed to have improperly relied on unverified change-of-address data to invalidate registrations, the judge, Leslie Abrams Gardner, said in her order filed late on Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia.

“This morning, Senator Perdue was notified that he came into close contact with someone on the campaign who tested positive for COVID-19,” Perdue’s campaign said in a Thursday statement. “Both Senator Perdue and his wife tested negative [Thursday], but following his doctor’s recommendations and in accordance with CDC guidelines, they will quarantine. The Senator and his wife have been tested regularly throughout the campaign, and the team will continue to follow CDC guidelines.”

    Thats interesting. Thanks for posting.

have a question- you deem Loeffler "fake" but Perdue not so much? Is it a female "thing" to identify the fake woman, but not label a man fake? How do you reconcile his moves in the stock market while sitting on the Senate Intelligence Committee? Do you chalk that up to "perks of the position" or struggle with that? More concerned with Republican "values" than the actual candidate themselves?

    Sorry, few questions lol.
No worries on the questions. To answer yours and the post above yours, I wound up voting for both Democratic candidates. I do not agree with much of the Democratic platform, such as student loan forgiveness, wealth redistribution, $15 min wage etc. However, I’m tired of being a sheep and being led by sheep. The ads here keep telling us to vote red because blue is bad and we need to save America. Cut the crap - stop telling me how bad the other side is and why I should vote for YOU.
Regarding my comments on Loeffler being fake - I actually find both her and Purdue to be fake but Kelly more so. I can at least respect Purdue because he’s actually been elected to office whereas Kelly has been appointed due to political pandering/connections. I also used to work at ICE which was founded by her husband and where she previously held executive leadership.

I do have this question. How are Perdue and Loeffler able to participate in the joint session next week when their terms end with this Congress on Saturday?

I was wondering the same thing. Only thing I can think of is that the election results might not be known for a few days. Guessing they would keep their seats until the winners are declared.

You're guess is as good as mine. I would think Loeffler's rationale is that she was appointed until a replacement was elected. Perdue, however, is different. The term he was elected to ends with this Congress.

I'm not really a Democrat, though I'm probably one for the next few years from a practical standpoint because I can never vote for anyone who excused or enabled Trump.

However, if Stacey isn't given the keys to the DNC I say we riot, but a nice riot. You know, like, let's throw snowballs while screaming, or something.
All of this, while drinking a good glass of Bordeaux

Over the their runoff election. Not meaning the state. But...I am over Atlanta. :hihi:
I told my son-in-law that if Georgia comes through in the runoff election I would be more than happy to pull for the Falcons on their bye week
