We need to just do away with the party controlled primary system.

Have a primary with all of the candidates and the top two compete in the general election.

I don't understand what the DNC has against Sanders.
    He's really an independent.

But I'd be shocked if they change rules. The DNC chair made a big deal about not screwing around with super delegates to avoid looking rigged.

    Paraphrasing heavily...

At a Sanders rally in Iowa, the subject of Hillary Clinton came up . . .

At the end of their discussion, activist Dionna Langford, who was serving as moderator, mentioned Clinton recently saying "nobody likes [Sanders]," eliciting boos from the audience.

Langford sought to quell the booing, saying: "We're not gonna boo, we're not gonna boo. We're classy here."

That was when Tlaib jumped in, laughingly saying: "I'll boo. Boo."

"You all know I can't be quiet," Tlaib added. "The haters will shut up on Monday when we win."

I wonder what 3rd grade antics she and her comrades will pull at the SOTU.

So Brave. Such Truth to Power.

Another stupid move. The Democrats/liberals are all making this so much easier for Trump by attacking each other, usually over petty stuff, and creating ideological purity tests like frequently happens in the primaries. People's undies get all twisted up over stupid fights like these and then they do more stupid things like refusing to vote for the other liberals because they got butthurt.

Toughen up, you idiots. Stop fighting each other and make sure that Trump loses and the Senate flips in 2020.

I don't understand what the DNC has against Sanders.

The DNC establishment insiders are a bunch of rich people who are fine with socially liberal policies regarding race/gender/sexual orientation, etc. but, when it comes to economic issues are just fine with the status quo and being bankrolled by Wall Street and big corporations while paying lip service to working people. The Clintons were friends with the Trumps long before 2016. Chelsea and Ivanka are peers and want the same things (to be rich, to have their friends be rich). Bernie Sanders and his movement are a threat to their power, money, and influence.

What I don't understand is why the DNC gives Sanders the platform. He's not a Democrat. He's never been a Democrat.
    Votes.
I think the Democratic party right now is a collection of smaller groups, similar to the Republicans and tea party ect.., the hope is that when the general election rolls around, enough of the Bernie Bros will still vote for the Democrats, whoever the nominee is. That didn't seem to work out too well in 2016.

Exactly. I don't get why they expect a different result this time.

The GOP won in 2016 with one of the two most unpopular general election candidates in history receiving fewer votes than the other of the two most unpopular general election candidates in history. We know one side has doubled down with their even less popular and now scandal-ridden incumbent candidate. Yet if the DNC nominates Joe Biden the end results will still be the same.

And we have an expression of "boo" regret.
