Not long ago Kari Lake proclaimed Arizona's abortion law was a great law and wanted it the law of the state.

Now that she has gotten her way, she is lobbying for it to be repealed.

As I have been saying since 2022, the overwhelming vast majority of women aren't going to vote for the man who proudly boasts that he got rid of Roe V. Wade. Nor are those women going to vote for a forced birther politician.

Turns out, republican belief in "pro life" was all just lies to get votes. Who is surprised? I sure am not.

How many forced birthers will do the same about face?

Arizona Republican Senate candidate Kari Lake is actively lobbying state lawmakers to overturn a 160-year-old law she once supported that bans abortion in almost all cases, a source with knowledge of her efforts told CNN.

Coldseat already addressed this, but I'll elaborate. You have the right to vote for both senators that represent Alabama in the United States Senate. You don't have the right to vote for all seven representatives from this state in the United States House of Representatives. Those votes are restricted to certain districts.

Do you agree with this set-up or should you be allowed to vote for a House rep in all seven districts?
I have no idea what this has to do with presenting an ID to vote or buy a firearm, do you?

Since you are OK with showing an ID to have a firearm, are you not ok with having to show an ID to vote?

in the state of La, (can't vouch for other states), but an ID is not required. there are steps to verify who you are. I work the polls every election, requring an ID is a false narrative. If you can verify certain information that is in the register book, then fill out an sworn affidavit, then you can vote.
I believe that. Sad but probably true.

It's addressing this comment you made:

"Question though, at what point does the state determine what elections you can vote in like they have determined what type of 'arms' I can buy?"

By drawing district lines for the US House as well as state house and senate, the state has decided which elections you can and cannot vote in. My guess is that you have no objection to this, despite the US Constitution being very clear that the right to vote shall not be infringed except in very specific circumstances.

By this same token, since you support voter ID laws, do you think showing an ID to engage in a right that shall not be infringed is perfectly okay, or do you think that it's not okay but it's necessary?

What a horrible ordeal to go through

But Amanda was so sick that antibiotics wouldn’t stop the bacterial infection raging through her body. A blood transfusion didn’t cure her, either.

About 12 hours after her pregnancy was terminated, doctors and nurses flooded her room.

“There’s a lot of commotion, and I said, ‘what’s going on?’ and they said, ‘we’re moving you to the ICU,’ and I said, ‘why?’ and they said, ‘you’re developing symptoms of sepsis,’ ” she said.

its not sad its the LAW. and it has been the law for a LONG time. and as it is, there is still no evidence of massive voter fraud because of it.. i love to prove people wrong when they say you MUST have an ID to vote.

The Rs are just outright going to kill women with these bills. And that’s just fine with them.
Have the Rs ever done anything that wasn't designed to kill women, brown people or black people? According to you, very rarely, they are death cult, correct?

It would be way cooler if you did though.

Do you think having to show ID in order to vote to be oppression?

No. I show it every time I go vote.

But it's not the only acceptable way to prove your identity and not having one (or being able to produce one) shouldn't keep anybody from voting.

and after it passes with 60%? move to 70%?
    =============================

After Americans voted in favor of abortion rights in five state ballot measures during the midterm elections—and in another state earlier this year—activists want to put the issue directly in front of even more voters. Last week, Ohio abortion rights advocates told reporters that their goal is to get a measure on the ballot to amend the state constitution to protect abortion rights. (Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine signed a six-week abortion ban in 2019 that took effect after Roe v. Wade fell but is currently blocked by courts.)

Kellie Copeland, the executive director of Pro-Choice Ohio, said that “it’s a when, it’s not an if” her organization pursues such a measure, Ohio Capital Journal reported.

On Thursday, in allegedly unrelated news, Ohio Republicans announced that they want to make it harder to pass ballot initiatives. Currently, ballot measures need 50 percent of the vote to pass, but Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose and state Rep. Brian Stewart want to up that to 60 percent. In a press conference, LaRose said the proposed change would make it harder for “special interest groups” to influence changes to the state constitution.

Stewart said he would work to get the proposal through the legislature by the end of this year. If the proposal is successful, voters would still need to approve the change in May. (Yes, that would be a referendum on referendums.).............

When did I say that? You’re just making stuff up. I suppose that’s easier than actually dealing with the real world consequences of your actions.

    It should IMO.

You have never said that they want to a certain group to die? You are not being honest now, but ok. You are never one to over reaction to what the Rs plan to do. I totally misunderstood you for the last 8 years.

You have switched up what you are alleging now. You do that all the time. Those right wing propaganda courses have really paid off for you. Either that or your reading comprehension is shirt.
