Sorry, he's absolutely not going to be impeached in an election year. That would be a total sheet show. Best bet is hope Biden wins the election and pressure him to leave of his own volition during the next term. He's currently the oldest justice at 75, so it wouldn't be surprising to see him retire in a couple of years.

Also, Alito is 73, so he's not far behind.

At the hospital we weren’t allowed to take an ink pen from vendors. Because my husband owned his own business, I had to sign a form every year stating that the hospital wasn’t doing any business with his company. (we could have probably done some printing for them, and saved then some money, but it wasn’t allowed).

This is what is infuriating about Thomas. The little people abide by sometimes draconian ethics rules, and he just greeds out and grabs everything he can. And nothing happens to him.

They've all accepted gifts in varying amounts and they aren't small gifts... worth thousands of dollars, concert tickets, sporting events, trips, and on and on. I don't think SCOTUS justices should be allowed to accept gifts of that size. I mean, I work for a federal agency and we can't give each other gifts worth more than $20 iirc. I think they should bump it up to $100 because it's been stuck at $20 forever. But accepting gifts worth thousands as a justice and it's treated as no big deal is disturbing.

I don't think it's disturbing at all for a justice to accept concert tickets, sporting events, trips, and on and on, unless they fail to disclose it and/or do not recuse themselves for any case that anyone they accepted a gift from will benefit or be harmed by the ruling in the case.

Jackson accepting concert tickets from Beyonce is not disturbing or a problem at all, because she disclosed it. If a case of Beyonce vs Swift ever reaches the Supreme Court and Jackson doesn't recuse herself, then it's an issue.

I think the rule should be clear cut. They shouldn't be allowed to accept gifts beyond a certain value, say $100. Not any different than many other federal employees. I mean, if they disclose they've taken millions from whoever, that's OK? Not in my book. Just set a hard cap and if they don't disclose or get caught taking gifts over the allowed amount they should be subject to sanctions or penalties.
