The CPD announced this morning that a "virtual" debate would be preferred for the next squaring off between Trump and Biden, driven by Covid concerns. Trump quickly denounced the idea and said he wouldn't participate. There is a history of this kind of debate - Nixon and Kennedy debated from separate locations in 1960, and Reagan and RFK had a remote/virtual debate in 1967.

Trump is clearly still suffering the effects of Covid as you can hear on his Hannity interview tonight. For him to argue he should be there in person is nonsensical but, obviously, not surprising.

I do think I read that Biden will be doing a televised town hall that night, but I imagine the Debate folks don’t want to do anything that’s unilateral like that.

I dont know, i kinda think it’s better to just let that last debate debacle rest in the minds of voters and call it a day.. however i guess it looks like Joe will be doing a town hall anyway.

Biden doing a solo town hall meeting instead will be essentially be the same thing. I'm taking straight up bets on whether or not Trump tries to force his way in so he can interrupt Biden. Any takers?
