I think it’s just that doesn’t have his usual amount of spray tan on so he looks paler than we’re used to.Maybe it’s because he’s sick (he looks pretty sallow) but that whole thing was pretty odd.

oh, come on. You guys remind me of spouses of an abuser: I think he really has changed this time. I think he’s really sorry this time. (Or Susan Collins)
Politicians can't control a worldwide airborne pandemic no matter how many times you say so.
The US had 60 million cases on H1N1 under Obama and we were extremely lucky that it wasn't as lethal as Covid.
Former Biden chief of staff Ron Klain said at Texas A&M in 2019: “We did every possible thing wrong. Sixty million Americans got H1N1 in that period of time, and it is just purely a fortuity that this isn’t one of the great mass-casualty events in American history. [It] had nothing to do with us doing anything right; just had to do with luck. If anyone thinks that can’t happen again, they don’t have to go back to 1918. Just go back to 2009, 2010. Imagine a virus with a different lethality, and you can just do the math.”Opinion | The Obama-Biden Virus Response
If H1N1 had proved as deadly as Covid-19, it could have killed nearly two million.www.wsj.com
The way he looked reminded of how Cuomo looked. If they have the same level of infection, Trump is in for a rough time even if he doesn't need intensive care.Maybe it’s because he’s sick (he looks pretty sallow) but that whole thing was pretty odd.
What struck me as odd was his statement that Melania was doing as statistically expected. The thought that popped into my head is that if he is looking at this from a statistical standpoint, he's probably terrified about his prospects. It’s not just that. It’s the edit. I was also trying to figure out if that was the White House. I assumed, when I first saw it, that he’d been discharged. And had returned to the White House. The comments about Melania. There were a few others. Some things just seemed... off. I don’t know how to explain it.

He paints his completely irresponsible behavior as some sort of courageous act. It’s barf inducing.
I do believe he was scared, and thought he was going to die. And for right this minute, he’s grateful that people are saying nice things and wishing him well.
Had he said anything remotely like this “I was wrong to downplay this. I was wrong to discourage people from wearing masks and making fun of people for wearing masks. Please, everyone, take this seriously and wear masks, social distance and wash your hands” then I might believe he has turned a corner.
It’s a fool who believes this man can take any personal responsibility or think of anyone but himself.
He sounds weak and talking about miracles doesn’t inspire confidence.
Considering he doesn't like any appearance of weakness, it wouldnt surprise me if in fact they remove IV line for this address. So, I wonder when they filmed that. Because in the just released statement Conley says he just finished his second dose of Remdisivir. This does track with the dosage recommendations of a loading dose on Day 1 (yesterday) and maintenance doses the next 4 days, IIRC, but it is an IV drug and his hands are not showing any signs of recent IVs. It would be unusual to use his antecubital areas for IV administration. It would also be unusual to remove IV sites between daily infusions. Just something that doesn’t track right.
