I think the goal is possibly to show that they absolutely are in favor of free and fair elections, and people conceding when they lose.

The implication being that the reason they didn't concede 2020 was because Trump didn't lose.

Hadn't thought about that, but it's probably how the people who trust them are going to take it. "See they and we admit when someone loses."

I mean....I went to bed after midnight on election night and Trump was comfortably ahead in PA...then I woke up in the morning and bags and bags of Biden votes were found and counted and Trump lost.
IF the country would go back to having people who can't get to the polls to vote in person....just allow THOSE people mail their votes...and everybody who CAN get to the polls vote in person....then the MAGAs won't be able to spin their lies in the future.
But hey....that too logical and too simple.
Naturally everyone will condemn me for stating this idea.

Why does is matter if a person votes by mail or in person if they're both secure forms of voting?

Regardless of how a person votes, both tabulations are entered into the same machine for counting. I don't understand the consternation with mail in voting when it makes it easier for voting eligible citizens to participate in the election.

Well, yes, I am going to dismiss this. Why should everyone forgo a perfectly secure voting method to appease bad faith liars?

What if you have a baby or small children? What if you work odd shifts? What if you get sick that day? What if there is a snowstorm or ice storm? You shouldn’t lose your vote because of any of these reasons when people are too lazy to look into the safeguards for mail in voting.

Mail in voting is safe and reliable. It allows people to see their ballot and actually research the candidates’ views ahead of Election Day. Especially for those local races that don’t get a whole lot of media coverage. Also, to see and research any ballot initiatives.

Do you imagine mail in voting systems were set up by democrats only? No, they were set up by bipartisan election boards in order to be safe and secure. Every state should allow mail in voting for anyone who wants to do it that way.

Anything else is just a way to suppress the vote. It often penalizes the handicapped, working poor and young people more than others.

Oh, and bags and bags of votes were NOT “found” in PA or any state. They were counted in a particular order because the R controlled (at the time) state legislature mandated it that way. They mandated that mail in votes could not be tabulated ahead of Election Day and that they be counted last. Trump told MAGA to vote in person only, and then made sure mail in votes (mostly democratic) would be counted last. Election officials told everyone that it would create the illusion that Trump was ahead on Election night. It was done on purpose, IMO.

I'm trying to HELP YOU "get into the minds" of the MAGAs and I'm telling you...THEY don't think mail in voting is secure.
They imagine paper votes that are not legitimate and that some of the people handling the opening of those envelopes are wanting Biden to win. In their minds these envelope openers are potentially "putting their thumbs on the scales of justice" . They are "in the bag" for Biden.
It does not matter if its been "proven" that their concerns are not true.
They....don't ....believe the people who say that their concerns have been "proven" to be not true.

I don’t happen to believe their doubts would be resolved though. The only thing that would resolve their doubts is if Trump wins. That’s it. Nothing else will convince them. They believe that voting machines switched votes too. It wasn’t just the mail in votes. Rudy and crazy lady lawyer Sidney Powell put forth a huge lie that votes on Dominion machines were being flipped from Trump to Biden by some sort of “stealth” software or even by satellite from overseas. Fox covered it extensively, even though they admitted in their emails and texts that they knew it was crazy and false. Right now Smartmatic is also suing Fox because they were also smeared as being in on it.

There was a group in GA of MAGA Rs who illegally accessed voting machines in Coffey County (I think) after the election to try to “prove” they were switching votes. They are charged in the GA RICO case.

So Colorado has been using mail in ballots for at least 15 years. We receive a ballot in the mail usually about three weeks or so before the election, allowing us to take our time to review the issues and the down ballot candidates we've never heard of, and then usually drop them off at the ballot box within a few days of the election.

(And I drop them off not because we don't trust the post office to properly deliver them, but because the ballot drops are conveniently on my way to work, and we sometimes procrastinate getting them filled out in in time to mail them.)

We already knew MAGA were convinced by Trump that mail-in voting was insecure.

We already knew why he did it (because mail-in voting tends to favor Democrats).

The only thing we may have learned is that you have some possible suspicions about mail-in voting yourself.

Not much to add to what others have already said but I will ask this

If you support more people voting in person do you also support making Election Day a holiday?

Do you support mandatory paid time to vote for people to vote

Do you support greatly increasing the amount of polling stations? To eliminate some people voting are in and out in less than ten minutes while other areas it takes 7 hours?

Do you support making laws that there must be one voting place per X registered voters? We gave the data

Would you support organized voting shuttles to transport people to and from the polls?

No. Not prior to Covid. It was prior to Trump lying at every turn. If Trump won in 2020 with the same increase in voting by mail, I assure you that he would not have railed against the system as he did in reality and that the general public trust in the election process would be much higher than it is right now.
