Fair point but independents outnumber Democrats in New Hampshire by 30 percent.

Nationwide about 40 percent of the electorate identifies as independent - compared to just under 30 percent for each of the parties.

In SC, it's more truly "open" meaning you can vote regardless of your party affiliation - but you can only vote in one primary, you can't vote in both.

Yes, my state is the same. I plan to vote for Haley in the primary as well.

Okay, this exit poll seems to show that maybe 6% of the voters in the R primary self-identify as Democrats, if it’s a representative poll. And another option could be they are registered Rs who have left the party since the last time they voted, and now say they are democrats.

I think it's a mistake to assume that Kelly Ann Conway, Tim Scott and all of the other boldly hypocritical Republicans aren't completely self-aware of what they are doing.

They are self-aware, they are deadly serious (serious and sincere are not the same thing), and they have a plan. I think to assume otherwise is a grave mistake.

I thought the same thing.

I think the goal is possibly to show that they absolutely are in favor of free and fair elections, and people conceding when they lose.

The implication being that the reason they didn't concede 2020 was because Trump didn't lose.
