This could go in several threads but deserves one of its own. Apparently, the suspect got into the home and was looking for the Speaker. The police saw some of the attack and the spouse is in surgery. Social media accounts point to him being an election denier. This is pretty forked up.

I thought guns were the main problem with crime in this country. Do we add hammers to the NRA website now too?

What the main crime tool is in the U.S. has nothing to do with it. Any object that you use to harm an individual becomes a weapon. Any weapon that can cause death becomes a deadly weapon.

Do I or is that they way you think I think? I won't keep saying the obvious, so you can think what you want about me.
like I said, your group needs a bouncer at the door if you don't want to be guilty by association. Most LGB are getting this.

My group needs a bouncer at the door? That's funny coming from a Republican. Where's your groups bouncer at? I guarantee you gay people commit less crime than Republicans. It's not even close. Y'all have more groomers too. We're also less racist and sexist.

Bolding mine. Then why the costume?

A candidate running for a school board seat in Hunterdon County, pictured in a photo on social media, said he wore a T-shirt on Saturday saying “Where is Nancy?” for a Halloween party that had a theme of “scary costumes.”

Tom Gregor, who is running unopposed for a three-year term on the Bethlehem Township school board, said he dressed as a “home intruder.” And although he did not mention the recent attack on the House Speaker’s husband, said it referenced “what was in the current event of the week.”

On Friday, a home intruder broke into Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s home in San Francisco and asked her 82-year-old husband, Paul, where his wife was, before attacking him in the head with a hammer, police said. Nancy Pelosi was in Washington D.C. at the time.

The photo of Gregor, a sales executive who lives in Asbury, posted by an anonymous account, appeared on Twitter Monday.

When asked by NJ Advance Media what his shirt meant and who Nancy was, he said, “I don’t know who Nancy is.”............

Cool. Can you define troll for me?
Per wikepedia, a troll is a person who posts inflammatory, insincere, digressive, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community a newsgroup. I think your recent posts, such as the snarky comment about adding hammers to the NRA, have been insincere and snarky, which don't contribute to an intelligent exchange of ideas. I checked your last 5 posts, and IMO only 1 had substance related to David Dorn and burning of police stations. Maybe you're just defending yourself, but it doesn't help us understand legitimate counter arguments.

That guy is disgusting. Imagine people dressing up as John Hinckley Jr right after the attempted murder on Reagan? Where is the sense of common decency and empathy?

People are dressing up as Jeffrey Dahmer due to the mini series and are getting called out for it
Dahmer is edgy, but those murders were so long ago, and he is part of the popular culture due to the series, so that one doesn't strike me as badly. Nancy's husband is still at risk of dying, and she is still getting death threats, so that is horrible.

    David Dorn disagrees with you.
What about the fire that was used to burn the police station?
Yeah, there was a fire. Yeah, a boogaloo killed a police officer. It wasn’t BLM or Antifa. You have painted peaceful protests as riots, exaggerated the extent of riots and blamed them on BLM with zero proof. You have downplayed the Jan 6 insurrection that injured over 140 police officers in one day. I would guess that was far more police than were injured during that whole summer.

Now you want to pretend that it’s no big deal that a right wing nut tried to kill the Speaker’s husband with a hammer in a home invasion. Even being ridiculous enough to try to say it wasn’t a deadly weapon, when the charges against him include attempted murder. You also managed to sneak in a snarky reference to an erection, which should be beneath any sort of respectable human being. But here we are.

Nobody should pay attention to you. You aren’t trying to actually converse with anyone on this site, you aren’t trying to discuss things that actually worry you. You’re just playing a juvenile game, jousting with words on a message board and giving yourself imaginary “high fives” when you think you land a zinger. It tends to lower the entire level of discourse, and I’m guilty of responding in kind when I shouldn’t.

It’s actually a shame, because if you wouldn’t push non-facts and conspiracy theories you could add a lot to the discussions on this site. The level of discourse on this board is going downhill, and I will endeavor not to be a part of that.

I come back to Mad today, and Farb is still in here trolling in extremely bad taste.

If only Paul Pelosi was an unborn baby. Farb would have spent 40 page threads defending him, and maybe showing us some of that "Christian compassion".

Oh, make no mistake, conservatives have their crazy people as well. I am sure you think I am an extremist, so I can be proof of that if you like.
All of that might be true, but then again, I don't consider what sex someone is sexually attracted too as a defining characteristic to establish a 'gay' group vs. 'straight' people especially in relationship to crime stats. That is identity politics and not my thing.

Ok, well I suggest you report my posts that you find in bad taste.

Question though, did you check out anyone elses posts or just mine? I have a feeling a particular ideology is what you are after to remove from this board. Would you agree?

I dont get it. What is she and why is there a skeleton involved? Otherwise, the shirt is kind of funny for a political costume I guess. I think 'distressing' is a bit much, but taken in todays climate, perfectly understandable.

Is your beef with me about my abortion position or the fact that I am a Christian? I don't get your trolling rant? Can you explain, without big words please....

I do love how my non-facts and conspiracy theories that you always claim are not happening are then shown that is happening (so not really a conspiracy theory then is it?) buy you simply crawfish and then explain why the people who are making the money tell you that it is a good thing and must continue. At no time, do you stop to consider that they just lied to you but yet you still believe them when they change their story. It is really a unique thing I think.

Just a hint, just because someone is pointing out the absurdity that is right in front of you and everyone else sees it doesn't make it not real, it just means you are blind to it. Every argument that you can't win doesn't mean that the other side is using 'disinformation', it just means your position is flawed. So maybe do some self examination.
No, you want this board to parrot your beliefs back to you so you can feel enlightened and virtious. The fact that it is actually hurtful to you that someone will not be emotionally blackmailed or bow down to the 'you have been shown many times' lines that you are so used working and obtaining silence to any discontent. That should tell you something.
Also, I feel like you have said this to me before but yet we still have out little debates. I hope we can continue but if you want to put me on 'ignore' I get it and wish you the best. I will miss us though MT.

Mocking Pelosi will run-off more people, because most people want civility. Republicans are digging their party’s grave deeper.

We’ll need to add secret service protection to congessional leaders and their immediate family, particularly the Speaker of the House, since that person is 3rd in line.

You did exactly that in your previous post. Which prompted my response.
