I watched. I especially liked when he almost said there was no corroborating evidence, but stopped himself and at corro....

I don't know what exactly he thinks the standard for believing all women is. He says there should be a presumption that a woman is telling the truth, but apparently that presumption is effectively rebutted when the accused denies the accusation, which sounds like there is no presumption after all.

He starts to say that the accused must prove his innocence, but again he stops himself.

He claims a search through his records should not be done because there is no reason for the complaint to be there, but on that issue he had a Biden moment:



I am not saying there should be a presumption that an accuser is telling the truth. In fact, I think that is an absolutely ridiculous proposition and it is contrary to our jurisprudence. Which is why Ienjoy seeing those who thought it would be a good idea to set this new standard struggle when it is applied to one of their own.

I am not enjoying that for frivolous reasons - I hope this experience will help us get back to a sane approach.

There is an interesting statement in there from Biden where he is trying to weasel out of his statements he made on Kavanaugh and he said "the presumption would be that she’s telling the truth, unless it’s proved that she wasn’t telling the truth, or not proved — unless it’s clear from the facts surrounding it it’s not the truth."
So Biden is guilty until it is "proven" that Reade is not a liar. Of course "prove" is a nebulous concept and there are many standards of it, but it is interesting that even when trying to weasel out of his remarks on Kavanaugh where it was clear that Ford must be believed due to the simple fact that she made her charges public he still cannot escape the idea that an accusation means the person accused is guilty.

That’s truly what I’ve seen from the vids I’ve watched of him interacting with young girls.
I’ve heard folks dismiss it as him just being awkward but it seems a bit more to me.

Sure, but the fault of Maryland not investigating Kavanaugh was that no one, i.e. Ford, had filed a complaint. Maryland officials even stated they were ready and willing but that they needed someone to come forward with an allegation.
