Russia continues to mass assets within range of Ukraine - though the official explanations are that they are for various exercises. United States intelligence has noted that Russian operatives in Ukraine could launch 'false flag' operations as a predicate to invasion. The West has pressed for negotiations and on Friday in Geneva, the US Sec. State Blinken will meet with the Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov.

Certainly the Russian movements evidence some plan - but what is it? Some analysts believe that Putin's grand scheme involves securing Western commitments that NATO would never expand beyond its current composition. Whether that means action in Ukraine or merely the movement of pieces on the chess board remains to be seen.

VIENNA — No one expected much progress from this past week’s diplomatic marathon to defuse the security crisis Russia has ignited in Eastern Europe by surrounding Ukraine on three sides with 100,000 troops and then, by the White House’s accounting, sending in saboteurs to create a pretext for invasion.

But as the Biden administration and NATO conduct tabletop simulations about how the next few months could unfold, they are increasingly wary of another set of options for President Vladimir V. Putin, steps that are more far-reaching than simply rolling his troops and armor over Ukraine’s border.

Mr. Putin wants to extend Russia’s sphere of influence to Eastern Europe and secure written commitments that NATO will never again enlarge. If he is frustrated in reaching that goal, some of his aides suggested on the sidelines of the negotiations last week, then he would pursue Russia’s security interests with results that would be felt acutely in Europe and the United States.

There were hints, never quite spelled out, that nuclear weapons could be shifted to places — perhaps not far from the United States coastline — that would reduce warning times after a launch to as little as five minutes, potentially igniting a confrontation with echoes of the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis.

Well well well...looks like IAEA made a walk thru (limited as Russians still declined access to the exact spot of fire origin ...imagine that)

No drone, no ash, no residue found to support Ukrainian drone strike.( nor tires).

Sooooo...only one side controls the plant, and it's not Ukraine.

Furthermore, it was found to have started 30 ft up INSIDE the cooling tower.

Maybe wanna send this to you pal Greenwald.

Do you know what else they didn't find? Tires 🤣

it was all speculation- on the heels of "iT wAZ a DrONe"

And you know what else they didnt find?

Thats right sunshine, any remnant of a UAF Drone.

The Russian military is absolutely TERRIBLE at false flag ops- they have long been told to leave that to the FSB.

Russia finds itself in a situation it hasn't been in since WWII.

"It was a notable change in tactics for Ukraine and marked the first time foreign troops had entered Russian territory since World War II."
"On Tuesday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said its forces were in control of 74 settlements in Kursk and that they are making preparations for “next steps” in the region.
The incursion has posed a major embarrassment for the Kremlin, with Russian President Vladimir Putin vowing to “kick the enemy out” of Russia – though his troops have yet to stop the Ukrainian advance."

That sounds like intentional sabotage by Gerasimov. Even if it wasn't, I don't think he will be alive for much longer.
so a lil more than 48 hrs ago Putin sacked Gerasimov from Kursk operation

    Installed FSB head, Bortnikov.

Now he sacked Bortnikov and installed Dyumin- former Putin bodyguard and current Mayor of Tula, Russia.

    you cant make this up

Some recent movement on the Nord investigation. A warrant was put out for a Ukrainian and new info details the sabotage as a Ukrainian job approved by Zalenksy (and then possibly called off).

I don't think we'll ever know for sure who blew it up. A member of the German Parliament says people should be cautious about the current allegations in the Wall Street Journal report:

"Roderich Kiesewetter, a member of the opposition CDU who serves on the foreign affairs committee of the German parliament, urged caution about the allegations raised in the WSJ report. He told German radio there were “intensive interests” in “letting all the clues lead back to Ukraine”, warning that this could be “part of the disinformation”.
He said there continued to be an “extensive amount of murkiness” surrounding the case, and that it could not be ruled out that this was a “false flag” operation – an attempt to push the blame on to Ukraine. He added that the pipelines had only been destroyed “once it was … clear that gas would never flow through them again”.

Just saw this - not sure if it’s true or not, but did see some other talk about this happening yesterday as well.

I don't understand why a person would risk going there, considering the situation over there

She had returned to Russia to visit her family.

She reportedly had her phone confiscated after arriving in Yekaterinburg in January and police found evidence on the phone of the donation. Soon before her planned departure, she was jailed for 15 days on petty hooliganism charges and then charged with treason.

Got to agree. No way in hell should anyone be traveling there.
