Russia continues to mass assets within range of Ukraine - though the official explanations are that they are for various exercises. United States intelligence has noted that Russian operatives in Ukraine could launch 'false flag' operations as a predicate to invasion. The West has pressed for negotiations and on Friday in Geneva, the US Sec. State Blinken will meet with the Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov.

Certainly the Russian movements evidence some plan - but what is it? Some analysts believe that Putin's grand scheme involves securing Western commitments that NATO would never expand beyond its current composition. Whether that means action in Ukraine or merely the movement of pieces on the chess board remains to be seen.

VIENNA — No one expected much progress from this past week’s diplomatic marathon to defuse the security crisis Russia has ignited in Eastern Europe by surrounding Ukraine on three sides with 100,000 troops and then, by the White House’s accounting, sending in saboteurs to create a pretext for invasion.

But as the Biden administration and NATO conduct tabletop simulations about how the next few months could unfold, they are increasingly wary of another set of options for President Vladimir V. Putin, steps that are more far-reaching than simply rolling his troops and armor over Ukraine’s border.

Mr. Putin wants to extend Russia’s sphere of influence to Eastern Europe and secure written commitments that NATO will never again enlarge. If he is frustrated in reaching that goal, some of his aides suggested on the sidelines of the negotiations last week, then he would pursue Russia’s security interests with results that would be felt acutely in Europe and the United States.

There were hints, never quite spelled out, that nuclear weapons could be shifted to places — perhaps not far from the United States coastline — that would reduce warning times after a launch to as little as five minutes, potentially igniting a confrontation with echoes of the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis.

So, it wasn’t about Nazis or oppression of Christianity or ethnic Russians or about a corrupt Ukrainian government.

It was about Putin wanting to take something he wanted from a sovereign country.

And, of course, DaveXA is right as well.

So, maybe you should get the facts straight before pouring out more bullschlitz while faking a peacenik stance.

3 weeks ago he said it was CIA and CIA bases on Russian border

2 weeks ago he posted a vid of JEff Sachs and NATO expansion

    today, its lithium deposits.

Tomorrow, it will be yet something else.

Best to just leave him be. His agenda has been/is clear for the entirety of this thread. He speaks no truths...just supposition and propaganda because he is all in. It all HAS to make sense otherwise HE has been duped ( and he has, he just hasnt come to terms with it ).

SFL won’t comment on this, I would bet.

if he doesnt comment, then he doesnt "acknowledge".

If he doesnt acknowledge, he can pretend it didnt happen.

If he pretends it didnt happen, he can go on with his same stance that US is cause of all of this for ( whatever NEW reason he gets told to repeat ) and life goes on.

    Just like a Russian citizen.

Which is why I thought it was odd that the person Hello Fresh sponsors mentioned MRE's in the same breath as Hello Fresh. It's not a good association for Hello Fresh.

Ah, gotcha. I have enough ad blockers running on Youtube, so I didn't see it. lol

So. Which is it this time?

LOL he now resorting to 25 year old intelligence.

The SAME intelligence services that he says are "corrupt"

AMAZING how he finds information, posts it, without realizing, that info comes from the very sources he routinely rails against.

When it "fits" within his narrative, everything else he has said prior, is ignored.

NATO is providing Ukraine with systems that will improve their air defenses.

The first round of F-15's are set to arrive in Ukraine by the end of summer.

Their pilots have been training for months.

This will help Ukraine to take back some territory from Russia.

Putin's not having that and will get more desperate, so I expect him to:
    • ratchet up the false propaganda
    • attack a whole bunch more civilian sites in Ukraine
    • make more nuclear threats
    • sponsor more terrorist attacks and sabotage throughout Europe
    • sponsor more cyber attacks
    • and this time I think he'll sponsor sabotage and terror attacks here in the US.

That's propaganda is straight out of Nazi propaganda. Their are a lot of similarities going on right now.

The Nazi's launched their first invasion into Sudetenland, an area of German speaking people with Germanic cultural roots inside of Czechoslovakia, to reunite the German people. Does that sound familiar?

Shortly after invading Sudetenland, the Nazi's started agitprop and sabotage campaigns throughout Europe and in the US. Does that sound familiar?

Some US politicians and business leaders provided aid and assistance to the Nazi oligarchs in exchange for personal profit, even after the Nazi's attacked our allies and we entered the war. Sound a little bit familiar?

Putin seems to be following the Nazi's playbook, and like with the Nazi's, some American politicians and business leaders are providing him aid and assistance in exchange for personal profit.

If Russia was more competent and had a better reserve arsenal, I'd think Russia and China are about to follow in the footsteps of Germany and Japan.

The saving grace is that it wasn't that long ago, and many still remember.

It's imperative that attention is paid to historical connections.

But agree, had Russia been more competent with a much better prepared military, we would definitely be in WW3. They would have moved on every Baltic state soon after capturing Kyiv.

I don't think they would have stopped their either.

And the idiots supporting Russia have zero self awareness and even less sense of history. It's baffling how any American can miss it unless...Nazi? Lol.

I don’t recall the Russian official who said it but he basically said that they would cause problems in Poland over Kaliningrad which is from the former Prussia territory.

Which is irrelevant. Russia is run by a kleptocracy headed by a lunatic. You know about dangerous lunatics as you worship one who is just as dangerous. By definition he is dangerous. The Internet Research Agency is a danger to the entire world.

Your naïveté is almost as dangerous as Putin.
