Today it begins, Kamala has reached the point that she's the Democratic Party nominee:

There's video from today. this link has video from her first public appearance since Biden endorsed her:

She spent yesterday on the telephone for most of the day. I read that yesterday that she called the party leaders in all 50 states. That would take me three days.

She's renamed her YouTube channel, that's the where to go for video: https://www.youtube.com/@kamalaharris

This is her video on her channel from two hours ago:

To play it, start it, and then move it up to 5:47. This was one of those live videos which don't start at zero.

I've named this thread General Election 2024 Harris vs Trump

Trump needs an introduction post as well, a MAGA suporter ought to write it: @Farb, @SaintForLife , @Others, calling for someone to please introduce your GOP candidate for this 2024 general election thread.

So, cruelty towards children and vulnerable people is acceptable if it serves a political purpose against those who disagree with you?
Oh, man, do you think twisting my words and substituting your own works? Bad form. Stick to what you actually see, not what you 'imagine'.

Look at it another way then. Republicans let Democrats put their money where their mouths are and show how committed they are to immigrants, even at the expense of their own taxpaying citizens.
I don't need to look at the abuse of children any other way. I have an actual moral compass and sense of humanity, unlike some.

Look at it another way. Republicans have never actually cared until Trump stirred the pot with xenophobia and racism.
    Y'all are so dang predictable.
Who was it gave amnesty to immigrants? Oh, yeah, Reagan
Oh, yay, we get to call Reagan the Great White Devil!!!!!!!!!You do know, (I hope) that Dems promised enforcement then renigged. Anyway, with how many Democrats in charge since then. why didn't you vote for change?

Let me guess, you might be one who thinks sending minor children on a dangerous journey alone isn't any type of child abuse. Do you overlook that just because they are coming here?

    I did not substitute anything

This is the result of the constant dehumanizing rhetoric. We have degraded these people to the point some very sick people believe it's "brilliant" to force bus their children into freezing cold temperatures without proper attire and dump them on a street corner in those conditions. It's barbaric and disgusting, but it's the way these animals think.
    Your own words were

"Look at it another way then. Republicans let Democrats put their money where their mouths are and show how committed they are to immigrants, even at the expense of their own taxpaying citizens."

So you are literally saying that shipping kids with no winter clothes to the northern states and dumping them on the street in snow is ok because it "lets democrats put their money where their mouths are"

Good lord, do you know anything at all? You're reaching new heights of cognitive dissonance.

They didn't force bus children who were here on their own, they force bussed families. Those families had children dressed for life near the equator and were dropped in frigid temperatures on a street corner. The cities they were going to were never even told they were coming. It's barbaric.

Bringing up an entirely different subject to try and deflect from the fact that you find child abuse brilliant changes nothing. I say again, anyone supporting this is an ANIMAL, which is an insult to most animals because they wouldn't do something like this to cubs. Embrace who you are and stop trying to deflect.

Because immigration is not the problem that the Reich Wing makes it out to be. They did not, do not and will not want it resolved. The primary reason is profit. Oh, they can push xenophobia and racism all they want to voters like you but the reality is that they do not care. Why did Republicans do nothing about it when they had power? Didn’t you vote for change?

I am glad you realize what a pile of schlitz Reagan was.

Quite obviously to anyone who can read, I did not state that.

it is an ignorant claim you make about me.

okay, please tell me which Republicans are profiting from immigration. I know you must be able to provide a name or two after that bold claim.

Nunes. I mean, have you been living under a rock?

    Esquire investigation: https://www.esquire.com/news-politics/a23471864/devin-nunes-family-farm-iowa-california/

According to two sources with firsthand knowledge, NuStar did indeed rely, at least in part, on undocumented labor. One source, who was deeply connected in the local Hispanic community, had personally sent undocumented workers to Anthony Nunes Jr.’s farm for jobs. “I’ve been there and bring illegal people,” the source said, asserting that the farm was aware of their status. “People come here and ask for work, so I send them over there.” When I asked how many people working at dairies in the area are documented citizens, the source laughed. “To be honest? None. One percent, maybe.”
    Nunes naturally sued. Unsuccessfully. https://lawandcrime.com/lawsuit/bad...-knowingly-hired-undocumented-immigrants/amp/

"... a judge found it “substantially, objectively true” that the family’s farm in Iowa “knowingly” employed undocumented immigrants."
There's another appeal in progress (Link) but the fact remains that "There is no genuine dispute of material fact that it is substantially true that NuStar used undocumented labor." There are plenty of Republican employers profiting from employing undocumented workers. This isn't a contentious fact.

Sigh. Immigrant labor is, generally, lower cost than regular labor. Wealth profits more highly from immigrant labor. Republicans have engaged in little chasing after those who use immigrant labor. Thus the profit arises from donor class utilizing immigrant labor and Republican politicians who bloviate while not punishing those using immigrant labor.

Oops, your false god used illegal immigrant labor and settled a lawsuit over it.

The first source provided a long story about immigrants, illegal aliens, and dairy farms. It also said Nune had no financial interest n his parent's farm, so not seeing how he personally benefitted financially as claimed. Maybe he did but maybe he didn't. If you know for sure, alert the authorities.

    Yet another strawman? Sigh, indeed.

I realize that this is like talking to a brick wall, but once again, I am not MAGA or pro Trump. You should save your standard fare for those who are those things.

If your counterargument to that is really that the only way to profit from something is directly and personally, and, presumably, that none of Nunes's family are republicans, then you don't have a counterargument.

And you should, once again, just say something like, "Good point, I was wrong, there clearly are republicans profiting from immigration, stupid of me to assume there weren't really."

You won't, of course, but you should.

You wrote what YOU wanted, but refuse to extend the same courtesy to others, Got it. Bye now.

I realize you most certainly are MAGA and pro-Trump. You support what they stand for. Simply denying means nothing.

And immigrant labor is generally less expensive. That you cannot grasp that is your problem.

Btw, talking to you is not like talking to a brick wall. It is hollering into a yawning abyss.
