VPs are in charge of very little and don’t have a lot of input in policy. What laws did she sign? She is associated to Biden but she also had different opinions on what to do and I’m sure she got told this is what we are doing.
If there are things she was in charge of then you can talk about that. But acting like this is her administration is just garbage.

My guess - I think he’s been stewing over preparing for Biden, who he was convinced he could beat, to now having a newly energized Democratic ticket. He’s tired and feels like he’s back down at the bottom of the mountain.

To a malignant narcissist like Trump, this is all very unfair. He calls it a coup. He calls in undemocratic (b/c Biden won the primaries). Of course this is idiotic - there’s no requirement that the person that wins the primaries stay in the race. Clearly Biden was not up for the task and it is in the interest of all of the United States that Biden withdrew. LBJ, similarly an incumbent, did the same thing in 1967.

I also think he loves this “coup” idea because he’s been accused of attempting a coup (a real one, and accurately), so in Trump fashion he starts throwing that word around like “everyone is doing it!”

He’ll also call Harris and Walz communists and end the conference with no questions.

its funny because in one interview the other day he mentioned how it wasn't right what DNC did to Biden and they did him wrong, etc. he never thought in a million years Biden would drop out, He just thought it was a good hitting point to help get votes..

Let's put Trump's claim of have 100,000 people at any of his rallies in perspective. The maximum capacity of the Super Dome is 76,468. Trump's claiming he's had 23,000 more people at a rally than a sold out Super Dome. Who's buying that?

It feels like 99% of their attacks are, a) at least a bit stupid, and b) better directed at their own candidate anyway.

As in this case, where Trump was, in fact, President, so the "why didn't you already do it" attack clearly applies to him.

But it may be a rather stupid attack regardless because, as things take time and priorities shift, no-one can expect to do everything they might theoretically want to do in one four year term, especially if they may or may not have a cooperative senate and house, so whether it's actually a reasonable question or not is entirely context dependent; is the thing they're saying they'll work on addressing a new or increasing problem, a continuation of existing work, something that would be a higher priority now than it was then, something it'd be reasonable for them to have already done or not?
