Today it begins, Kamala has reached the point that she's the Democratic Party nominee:

There's video from today. this link has video from her first public appearance since Biden endorsed her:

She spent yesterday on the telephone for most of the day. I read that yesterday that she called the party leaders in all 50 states. That would take me three days.

She's renamed her YouTube channel, that's the where to go for video: https://www.youtube.com/@kamalaharris

This is her video on her channel from two hours ago:

To play it, start it, and then move it up to 5:47. This was one of those live videos which don't start at zero.

I've named this thread General Election 2024 Harris vs Trump

Trump needs an introduction post as well, a MAGA suporter ought to write it: @Farb, @SaintForLife , @Others, calling for someone to please introduce your GOP candidate for this 2024 general election thread.

The delegates represent the votes of the citizens of their particular states. If those voters never voted for Harris as the nominee, the delegates are just "voting" for whoever Obama and the democrats tell them to. Harris was chosen by the elites of the party and not the actual voters.
Each delegate is…wait for it…an actual voter as well. So you will need to be rewording your dead horse because you said she has never received even one vote from actual voters.

Voter's will be to voting for her in the presidential election when she defeats Trump.

The Harris campaign surrogate Rachel Scott claimed that Harris always represented herself as Black. That's definitely false. Harris initially identified as Indian and the media referred to her as Indian until she was picked as VP then she was referred to as Black.

Please keep doing this. You and all the MAGAs. This will work spectacularly. It’s completely idiotic and off-putting to everyone who can understand anything at all about being biracial.

Oh, and she went to Howard, so the stupid idea that she identified as only Indian until she was picked as VP is a complete lie. There are videos of her in the 1980s speaking to black issues.

So when you make this argument you are showing us 2 things about yourself.

    1. You will say absolutely anything that Trump wants you to say. Even racist lies.

    2. You cannot imagine how a person could be bi-racial and claim both heritages.

Is Don Lemon a republican for asking that?

There is a good thread about this argument. I know its subtleties will be lost on you, because you cannot imagine being biracial. But here it is in case anyone else wants to read it and respond. I am posting it because I came across it on Twitter, not because I pretend to know all about it, but because I found it interesting. I am posting only the first 2 tweets, but there is a good discussion if you go to the thread.

give it a break. it's just so much trump silliness you're keeping going. Trying to say what another person's race they claim to be is just hogwash. you don't know you never met or talked to her. you just have snippets of wacky news you're trying to prove your point with. it's not up to you or Trump to define what someone else race is.

Facts First: Trump’s claims are false. Harris did not “all of a sudden” begin identifying as Black. She has embraced and discussed her Black identity for decades, beginning long before she became a political candidate, while also honoring her South Asian heritage.

Harris graduated in 1986 from Howard University, a historically Black institution where she was a member of a historically Black sorority. After that, she was elected president of the association of Black law students in her second year at the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, she wrote in her 2019 memoir.

Politico reported in 2021 that, as a third-year student at the law school in 1989, Harris rose to speak against anti-Black racism at a campus demonstration prompted by the discovery of racist vandalism. Politico reported: “For Black students, she said, according to archives of the Hastings Law News, the cartoon was an example of ‘what we deal with all the time.’”

A profile of Harris in the publication AsianWeek in 2003, when she was running for San Francisco district attorney, was focused on her South Asian heritage. But it quoted Harris discussing her father as “a Black man” and saying, “I grew up with a strong Indian culture, and I was raised in a Black community. All my friends were Black and we got together and cooked Indian food and painted henna on our hands, and I never felt uncomfortable with my cultural background.”

Harris’ official online biography in 2005 as San Francisco district attorney referred to her as “the first African American woman in California to hold the office” and noted that she had attended “America’s oldest black university.” She wrote in a 2009 book about her childhood trips to both India and Jamaica, where, she wrote, “my father and uncles would talk to us about the complicated struggles of the people of Jamaica - the history of slavery, colonialism, and immigration.”

Wonder if this will make him stop telling the lie that she never acknowledged her black heritage until she was VP? Or will he keep regurgitating partisan propaganda? I know which one I tend to think will happen if past is prologue.

TBF, SFL isn't really saying anything, he's parroting what his twitter feed is telling him to say.
The Harris campaign surrogate Rachel Scott claimed that Harris always represented herself as Black. That's definitely false. Harris initially identified as Indian and the media referred to her as Indian until she was picked as VP then she was referred to as Black.
Hilarious, Rachel Scott is now a Harris surrogate??? Fortunately for trump, he had Harris Faulkner there to back him up by throwing softballs his way and he STILL managed to do nothing but insult his audience. We now know the reason for the late start was directly contributed to trump because he didn't want to be live fact checked, and yet, he lied about that too!

Actually, it’s very telling that SFL has nothing to really hit Harris with. Went away for a couple days, and came back with the same old stuff.

Meanwhile both Trump and Vance keep shooting themselves in their collective feet. 😊

Lots of low-energy posts being made. The unsubstantiated trash-posting really hurts that candidate's credibility. As a campaign strategy, it screams juvenile and ignorant, not serious enough to handle the responsibility of the office. Who wants four years of that?

State Delegates: As a registered voter in Louisiana, I got a ballot in the mail to VOTE for a state delegate to go to the convention and represent me. If you are a registered voter in this state (R/D), did you not get one? Go register to vote. Then check your mail about six months before the next presidential election.

Been explained multiple times with zero effect. Even today, after actual voters actually voted for her, the misrepresentation is repeated. This is how representational democracy works.

It must sting to support a party that's rigged the last 3 presidential primaries & Obama picking Harris while claiming to be the protectors of democracy.

And that's the saddest part of all of this. Republicans and Democrats both use this system. To proclaim otherwise is almost un-American. :(
