Today it begins, Kamala has reached the point that she's the Democratic Party nominee:

There's video from today. this link has video from her first public appearance since Biden endorsed her:

She spent yesterday on the telephone for most of the day. I read that yesterday that she called the party leaders in all 50 states. That would take me three days.

She's renamed her YouTube channel, that's the where to go for video: https://www.youtube.com/@kamalaharris

This is her video on her channel from two hours ago:

To play it, start it, and then move it up to 5:47. This was one of those live videos which don't start at zero.

I've named this thread General Election 2024 Harris vs Trump

Trump needs an introduction post as well, a MAGA suporter ought to write it: @Farb, @SaintForLife , @Others, calling for someone to please introduce your GOP candidate for this 2024 general election thread.

It must sting to support a party that's rigged the last 3 presidential primaries & Obama picking Harris while claiming to be the protectors of democracy.
she's going to win Bro. You were so up on polls when Biden would have been the nominee. Now he isn't. I'm not the one who is
stung. your are. Deal wid it.

If I were Harris I would only agree to debate on FOX if there are 3 moderators who don't have to be employed by FOX. FOX would get to pick one, Trump would get to pick one and Harris would get to pick one. I'd also add the condition that Trump has to first participate in the ABC debate as scheduled and as planned.

I wouldn't just agree to Trump's terms or refuse the debate altogether.

Actually, it’s very telling that SFL has nothing to really hit Harris with. Went away for a couple days, and came back with the same old stuff.

Meanwhile both Trump and Vance keep shooting themselves in their collective feet. 😊

I THINK they are generally trying to hit at Kamala's number 1 weakness: inauthenticity. She flip-flopped on a bunch of policy positions in 2020, and then became VP for a guy she attacked in the primaries. They are trying to use that general idea of her to tell black men she isn't actually black.

Obama's actual "real blackness" was worse then Kamala. Raised by white people, went to an Ivy League. Didn't really get into black culture until Michelle came along. You couldn't attack him on it though because he had a black family.

It won't work so long as Trump keeps talking about "black jobs". Trump's brain is so fried he can't articulate "african-american unemployment will go up because of illegal immigration". I assume that's what he means, but who knows.

That's where the ground operation comes in, and didn't the campaign get a huge increase in volunteers once the transition happened?

Even without that, I think the energy is very real. That age group has ONLY known Trump or Biden (except the older ones maybe experienced the tail end of Obama) during the years they were able to vote. Harris is relatively young, she's fresh, she's energetic, she speaks their language, and she talks about optimism, freedom and the future. Her motto is literally, "We're not going back." They may be very motivated to turn out.
At this point ai will restate my position which I adopted and clearly stated in 2010 , forteen years ago, that being that Kamala Harris would become our President someday.

I also spotted Obama in 2004, and said of him the same that I later said about Harris. I'm two for 0 on this. I didn't ever say that Hillary Clinton would become our President. I hoped she would, but before that i hoped that someone better than her would surface before that primary was over.

When I said this about Harris it was in 2010, I was on a forum where I said which is long gone today. It's family members who remember what I said all that long time ago.

So what I'm saying is I've got a track record for picking out future Presidents, and Harris has been on my future short list since 2010. She's the real deal. I awate her election.

I would posit that taxing churches is not a religious freedom issue. It does not prevent anyone from worshipping in any manner. In point of opinion, all charities should be taxed in some manner and all charitable deductions should be removed from the tax code. Taxing charities can be a relatively small amount or percentage similar to the idea of the so-called Tobin tax on, iirc, stock transactions.
Bird I can see this, but I don't feel it's an issue one ought to push for right now. Right now it's a losing big issue. Don't stick your finger into an AC 120 volt wall plug.

Maybe there will be a time for it someday, but it hasn't happened during my lifetime, and I don't expect it to happen before I die.

Congress can tax churches. But chooses not too. But that decision not to tax isn’t going to provide a constitutionally protected right to limit speech. There are churches all over the land that want to be first to take the irs to the Supreme Court. And the irs knows it. And they know they will loose. So why bother.
I think you need to go to the US Supreme Court for a ruling on that.

I don't think it will go your way. It hasn't gone anywhere so far.

So what I'm saying is your issue was dead before you thought of it .

I thought about it 50 years ago and it was dead then. It's still dead now.

Also, Rittenhouse denounced Trump earlier over his perceived lack of support for gun rights. Now he has backtracked.

I could care less. But maybe that would even be impossible. How could I care less when I already care less.

There's not room in my brain for a Rittenhouse. He's a null. A thing, not a person.

You think wrong. Nobody is saying she isn't black or indian. What we are saying is that she identifies herself as Black or Indian whenever it seems to benefit her more politically. It's similar to Elizabeth Warren.

It has nothing to do with that. It's all about what race Harris is claiming she is when it can benefit her politically. Why doesn't she just say she's black & indian?

The blacks or hispanics that are having their jobs taken or their wages lowered due to illegals think don't care if Trump calls them black or hispanic jobs.

Do you care that Harris got a lot of what she did in California by sleeping with Willie Brown?
This is the way, SFL. Keep up all these lines of attack on Harris. You’re doing a great job of making sure she will be elected. All these attacks are misogynistic. And that plays really well with normal people who don’t have your biases and prejudices.

No, it's about her being a "fake black", and it's about targetting the 18-34 black male population. Don't try to tell me otherwise. They don't care what she claims about being Indian. That's not big enough voting bloc.

She went to a HBCU. This attack is funny, and very transparent.

You know it's bad when "black jobs" is getting memed by Simone Biles.

Incase anyone missed it. Here is the tweet.

It appears that Actblue has a fraudulent scheme where they are making it seem like there are is a huge amount of individual donors, but the FEC records show that some individuals names are being used to show they made many donations totaling huge amounts when that person is retired, living on a fixed income, etc.

More artificially created enthusiasm for Harris.
