The ramifications of a Trump win go far beyond what Trump will do with his four years. Project 2025 will wreck this country. Europe will be in danger. NATO will have to handle everything without the US. If Trump wins, we will be in a cesspool for many years after he is dead and gone. MAGA will grow another head and then another. If we can't get rid of them, the Republican party is truly dead. I hate making these kind of comparisons, but it will be likened to Stalin taking over and using Lenin's name to gain popularity....over and over again. I see no bright future for anyone except the rich, our very own oligarchs.

Then Biden was handed the nomination as well by that rationale. We have very different definitions and criteria for what constitutes handing a nomination to someone.

I mean, if you can't see the difference between Biden running in an "open" primary and Harris being anointed without any sort of mini-primary then we'll just have to agree to disagree. I would say Biden was handed the primary to some degree because he was the incumbent. But that's another discussion.

There is no differeing opinion on the idea that Harris was handed the candidancy. That's literally what happened. You can go did through that thread I know I explained to you how the pledged delegates worked, and why that meant it was impossible to have a real open primary.
