She spent yesterday on the telephone for most of the day. I read that yesterday that she called the party leaders in all 50 states. That would take me three days.

Well if Harris pulls it off, i seriously may have to take you up. ( If she winds up wanting to go- he did say he would be in conferences all day so only would be able to see her in evening so she may not want to just walk DC solo- but then again, she loves DC and i could see here just museum hopping all day )

I'm cautiously optimistic that what you say is exactly what's about to happen. I know Fox and the like don't show it to their viewers, but the stories out of Texas and other states of women being denied healthcare due to abortion laws are heartbreaking and infuriating.

I also think that IF late deciding voters are breaking for Harris, that MSG pseudo-Nazi rally and how the Trump campaign has acted since then will have a lot to do with it.

Emphasis on cautiously.

I know the risks of trying to make predictions based on anecdotes and appearances, but as somebody observed here, if it weren’t for polling, all other indications would be Harris winning convincingly.

If we aren’t undone by complacency, and turnout is high today, I feel somewhat encouraged about the outcome.

In addition to highly motivated women (and the men who care about them), I believe Trump fatigue is a real thing. I’m not talking about any kind of moral awakening, but people who are just tired of hearing from him and about him, and want this country to move on. If that is real, it’s not something that necessarily shows up in polling. Those could be voters who unenthusiastically vote for Harris, or who supported him in the past but decide to sit this one out.

Also, one dude was mad because he came in with a MAGA hat and ted and TRUMP tennis shoes and we told him he had to remove them before he voted. since he couldn't put his shoes in his pocket or turn them inside out, he had to bring them to his car. unfortunately it was raining.. he came back in with just his socks on..
