As we head toward the summer and the National Party Conventions, it might be handy to have a thread focused on the upcoming matchup of current President Biden vs Former President Trump.
As of April 28,2024 , CNN's poll shows Trump leading. Yet polls are not always accurate and they are constantly changing.
Feel free to use this thread for all things relating to Biden vs Trump.

Eh.. party was complicit but his team's reelection strategy blew up on stage at that debate. I'd argue they did us dirty by pretending there was no issue with Biden and telling us it was our lying eyes.
I can't remember that far back, so maybe it was just implied, but I could have sworn he originally was just going to be a 1 term president. But I don't know if he actually said that, or that it was just implied. If he did say that, then I wonder what changed? Hubris?

Agreed 100%. people had been complaining abut Biden being hidden long before the debate. The debate blew up in their face when it revealed issues people were always concerned about.

It was implied in his "transitional president" statement. At one point I thought I remember him saying he decided to run for re-election because Trump was running.

And this is a big fork YOU to the donors who wanted to have an "open primary."

I believe the delegates will follow Biden's lead.
And if anyone besides Harris would be the nominee they would start at zero $ with fundraising so that seems to be an impediment to it being anyone else besides her.
