Election Night (+4) in America - Result: Biden Elected President (8 Viewers)

This is something @JimEverett has talked about in the past when talking about campaign finance. Both Hillary and Biden outspent Trump by significant margins and Trump outperformed against his expected averages.
A lot of talking heads/social media pundits effectively do the campaigning for Trump. Fox News and similar off-shoots and social influencers was a calculated plan on the part of conservatives. It has paid off exponentially as time has gone on.

Definitely moving in the right direction. If things hold in Wisconsin and Nevada we're looking at 271-267. Yikes.
Nope. If AZ, NV, WI, MI go Joe, then it’s 270 to 216 with PA, NC, GA, and ME2 left.

Social media is the other part. You don't have to use ads if misinformation is able to be sent out essentially for free. Fear drives people out. Trump had a good ground game. They had an app that told them what to say to each voter when they canvased based on their tendencies.

NV seems to have tightened since last night. I think Biden was up 60-something %, but mow only 8k votes separate them from one another.

I can't believe NV is taking a 27 hour break from reporting results. Hopefully they are just doing the counts and plan on making a dump in 27 hours.

Does anybody know what the situation in North Carolina is? From the best I can tell, Trump is up by 76,712 votes with 94% of votes counted. Based on the total votes so far (5,387,496), that leaves about 343,882 votes still to be counted. From the looks of it, 100% precincts have reported, so are all of the votes left to be counted mail-in ballots?

If Biden can capture 61% of the outstanding votes to be counted, he can still win that state, it appears.

Last night when they stopped counting, NC said there was over 100K mail-ins that needed to be counted. Is that enough to wipe Biden's deficit?

What people hear and what people say are two different things, and always has been. We can complain about people being too stupid to understand nuance or whatever, but that doesn't do us any good. We can't control what other people do, only our own actions, so if you want different results, try different strategies.

For the Cuban Americans - I don't know how much of an outreach there is, but I would suggest comparing Trump's authoritarian streak to Castro's. Spin the narrative that Cubans didn't leave the Communist regime because of universal health care, but because of an oppressive regime that squashed freedom. Biden can target his message that better health care means more economic freedom for everyone. Compare Trump's law and order message to an oppressive state ala Castro - those sorts of things.
It's too late to use that narrative that Trump is more similar to Castro and Batista, than Biden is to either of them. I've been saying that for a long time, but my family largely supports Trump. Some support him simply because he is a Republican. Cubans still haven't forgiven Democrats for the Bay of Pigs. It's illogical, but it is an ingrained attitude. If conditions in Cuba ever improved, Democrats may win Cubans back. I hope we re-normalize relations with Cuba, and open trade with them. Many Cubans will initially hate it, but in time, like Obamacare, they'll realize that it is the best policy, and Democrats will benefit from that.

That was assuming that PA, NC and GA hold for Trump -- hopefully Biden still has a chance in one or two of them.

What's the likelihood on ME2? If that swings Trump, then we could even be looking at 270-268.

I wonder why no one has called WI. They said all the votes are in. Are they afraid to say something?
