Everything I've seen and heard says that the split second Donald Trump is no longer president there will be flood of charges waiting for him

And if he resigns and Pence pardons him there are a ton of state charges as an understudy waiting in the wings if the fed charges can't perform

What do you think the likelihood of there being a jail sentence?

    In every movie and TV show I've ever seen, in every political thriller I've ever read about a criminal and corrupt president there is ALWAYS some version of;

"We can't do that to the country",

"A trial would tear the country apart",

"For the nation to heal we need to move on" etc.

    Would life imitate art?

Even with the charges, even with the proof the charges are true will the powers that be decide, "we can't do that to the country"?

The fact that SCI (Sensitive Compartmented Information) documents are not to be handled outside of the "vault" doesn't even register with her is mind blowing. That, alone, should disqualify her for rendering any judgment in this case. Hell, you had to sign that you received the doc and once again when you returned it to the custodian. Mind you, that process all takes place in the SCIF (sensitive compartmented information facility).

    Mind blowing.

I hope that when Trump is indicted, he follows through with calling for his supporters to take to the streets and riot. Biden should order the national guard out in every state with orders to put down the riots with extreme prejudice. It will make it easier to thin the herd of Trumpists.

ATLANTA — The prosecutor investigating efforts by Donald Trump and his allies to challenge the 2020 election results in Georgia said this week that her team has heard credible allegations that serious crimes have been committed and that she believes some individuals may see jail time.

“The allegations are very serious. If indicted and convicted, people are facing prison sentences,” Fulton County District Attorney Fani T. Willis told The Washington Post.

No decision will be made for months on whether there will be indictments — and, most notably, if Trump himself will face charges.

At least 17 people have been notified they are targets of the criminal investigation, meaning they could eventually face charges.

And more targets will be added to the list soon, Willis said in an interview Tuesday in her Atlanta office.

Willis would not discuss any of the targets by name and has not said if she’s willing to charge the former president.

Trump could be called to appear as a witness before the special grand jury that was convened this spring as part of the investigation, Willis said Tuesday.

“A decision is going to have to be made,” she said on whether to seek Trump’s testimony, “and I imagine it’s going to be made late this fall.”…..

How’s that faith in the system going?

I never said I had faith in Judge Cannon. She's obviously horrible and has zero ZERO business being on the federal bench. Every Senator that voted to confirm her, and I mean every one - not just the 12 Democrats (wtf?) - is guilty of full dereliction of duty.

Here's the list by the way:

A 37-year old attorney with a year as a law clerk, three years as a big law associate, and six years as an Assistant US Attorney is not qualified to be a federal district judge. It's disgusting.

The 11th Appellate Court has given Trump until noon on Tuesday to respond to the DOJ appeal. It will be interesting to see how they argue they have a possessory interest in the documents marked classified.

    Say what?

The deceit knows no bound with trump.

    Edit:
The document remained late Thursday on the court docket, but it is a clear fabrication. A review of dozens of court records and interviews by The Associated Press suggest the document originated with a serial forger behind bars at a federal prison complex in North Carolina.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but are what Trump's folks are telling the special master is that they don't have to show anything to prove documents were declassified?

This is a great thread (easy and quick) about the Dearie special master document:
