Everything I've seen and heard says that the split second Donald Trump is no longer president there will be flood of charges waiting for him

And if he resigns and Pence pardons him there are a ton of state charges as an understudy waiting in the wings if the fed charges can't perform

What do you think the likelihood of there being a jail sentence?

In every movie and TV show I've ever seen, in every political thriller I've ever read about a criminal and corrupt president there is ALWAYS some version of;

"We can't do that to the country",

"A trial would tear the country apart",

"For the nation to heal we need to move on" etc.

Would life imitate art?

Even with the charges, even with the proof the charges are true will the powers that be decide, "we can't do that to the country"?

Define “corrupt”.

Do I think that Biden or any other politician has said and done things which are questionable? Of course. EVERY politician has. Such is the nature of politics which can be defined as the process that determines who gets what, where, when, how and why.

Does any of that have any bearing on the corruption of Trump as well as those in the GOP who support openly or tacitly autocrats such as Putin, Orban or Erdogan? The answer to that is no.

Do I think he is actually corrupt on Trump’s scale? No, he’s not and that isn’t really even under dispute. Do I think he has ever lied about something politically? Yeah, I’m sure he has.

The world isn’t binary, Farb. Almost all people aren’t either all good or all bad. But if you weigh Biden against Trump, there’s absolutely no comparison in the corruption. Biden finished his career in the Senate with one of the smallest net worths of all the senators. He only got some money recently (after he left his years as VP) with book sales and speaking fees. His tax returns have been public for many, many years. He’s not hiding anything financial.

Trump people, and you seem to almost exclusively consume their output, have to smear Biden though. They have to say everybody is the same. Otherwise people like you might start to realize that Trump really does stand out in the degree of corruption he demonstrates. He’s been that way his entire life. He’s corrupt in the same way that Putin and other dictators are corrupt. They are birds of a feather. Absolutely zero moral code. The only thing that matters is what they want and what they think they can get by any means possible. No matter who else gets hurt, or loses money, or gets their lives ruined. Nobody matters to them but them.

Biden and most other humans aren’t like that. There’s a huge difference.

BTW: I know you cannot find any instances of people saying that Trump is the only corrupt politician. It would have been good if you could have just said you were exaggerating though. It would have been appreciated.

First, its a strawman:

Second it's based on a Hasty Generalization. Even if someone didn't think Biden was corrupt that does not mean they believe Trump is the only corrupt one.

It's also an Appeal to Hypocrisy.
