Frankly, I'm completely ignorant when it comes to the Critical Race Theory curriculum. What is it, where does it come from, and is it legitimate? Has anyone here read it and maybe give a quick summary?

If this has been covered in another thread, then I missed it.

Everytime you say that a hate crime is likely fake, you’re being racist.

There are dozens and dozens of examples, but you are not one of those self aware racists, so you won’t believe it.
Really? So applying skepticism that has a proven track record is not racist:

    https://dailycaller.com/2019/02/18/hoax-hate-crimes-list/

And the fact that you think 'hate' crimes are only allowed for minorities actually might be racist on your part, but that tends to be the case for the left. Most white liberals can't fathom that a poor black person can obtain a state ID within 4 years.

If this is all you can come up with from the years I have been posting here, should tell you something, but I guess it is a 'dog whistle' type deal that you all are so fond of saying when you can't actually provide proof?

The more veiled personal attacks you throw, the less your arguments are taken seriously.

It makes perfect sense that you would believe Atwater is being genuine when he says this, when absolutely everything else about this topic says the complete opposite...but...carry on....
That is a some gymnastics there. When this conversation, taken in snippets, proves you point, Atwater is being sincere and racist but when the rest of the conversation goes goes against your narrative, then he is being false?

Like I said, you aren't one of those self-aware racists that wears a hood, so you won't get it.

Why is it racist to doubt racial 'hate' crimes? Should someone receive the benefit of the doubt because of their skin color?

It’s not racist to doubt a specific crime, if facts seem to warrant doubt. But it’s a bit more of a problem to think that they are almost always faked. That flies in the face of evidence and thus can call motives into question. That’s the best guess I got.

Thanks, but I am interested in @samiam5211 views since he said I was a racist because of it. I want to know in his opinion how does that make me a racist.

It’s why your default position is to assume hate crime victims are faking it.

Now you will just blame Jessie Smollett for that, so I don’t really care.
So my critical thinking is racist? I think you are right, I am sure that has been blamed on racism/white supremacy by BLM and the like just as math, English literature, being punctual, hard work and behaving in a classroom setting is racist. So that is to say it is not racist at all but just gearing society for the lowest common denominator.

So maybe before calling someone racist, actually be able to prove it other than their opinions make your tummy hurt.

Your default position is that a black person who reports a hate crime is lying until they have sufficiently proven to you that they aren’t.

It’s the literal definition of prejudice, and since it applies specifically to black people, yes, your “critical thinking” is racial prejudice, and therefore racist.

What you are doing is not critical thinking.

Critical thinking is defined as the objective analysis and evaluation of an issue in order to form a judgment.

A default attitude of "it's not a hate crime and they are lying" is not an objective analysis. The fact that you consider it a possibility absent of evidence is the literal opposite of critical thinking.

You have a lot of opinions and beliefs about words that you do not seem to fully understand what they mean. Do you mind if I ask your highest level of education?

I remember when the book controversy was about Harry Potter

And yet more proof that CRT has turned into any mention of race at all
    =========================================

Nearly six months ago, celebrated Black children’s author and illustrator Jerry Craft received a message saying some of his books were being pulled from a school library in Texas.

“I was caught off guard,” Craft, the Newbery Medal-winning author of the 2019 graphic novel “New Kid,” told NBCBLK. “I felt bad for the kids because I know how much they love ‘New Kid’ and ‘Class Act.’ I know what my school visits do. … I felt bad if there was going to be some kids that would not be able to take advantage of that.”

The person who sent the message to Craft is from Katy, Texas, a town near Houston that has been under fire for attempts to limit the public’s access to books that teach about racism. In October, the Katy Independent School District made headlines for temporarily yanking two of Craft’s books, which tell the stories of Black boys who experience racism in schools, from school libraries and postponing his virtual visit.

A now-deleted petition with more than 400 signatures showed parents calling for Craft’s visit to be canceled.

At the time, Craft tweeted that he was shocked by the accusations.

“Apparently I’m teaching critical race theory,” Craft wrote in response to a parent confused about the ban, citing the decades-old academic and legal framework that teaches about racism in America.

While the Texas school district reinstated the book and rescheduled his visit, Craft is among dozens of Black authors whose works are being pulled from school libraries under the pretext that they’re teaching critical race theory. (Most of the books that are targeted for bans don’t teach critical race theory but are written by and about people of color.). The American Library Association said its Office for Intellectual Freedom reported 273 books were affected by censorship attempts in 2020, many with content that highlighted race, gender and sexuality. Since September alone, there have been at least 230 challenges, the organization said in an email.........

Can you find where I said "it is not a hate crime and they are lying'? If I had to bet, but I am far to dumb to do that, I think you will find me waiting for the details to come out before assuming the worst.

There is a lot I don't understand and I never claimed to be intelligent, in fact, I think you will find that I said I am pretty dumb over all.

As a Muppet once said on one of my shows "never argue with a fool, onlookers might not be able to tell the difference."- Kermit the philosopher.

Can you make us all tingle with your education level since it is a qualifier for intelligence?

Sorry, I was just informed that I am too dumb and not smart enough to do critical thinking, so I am not sure what that says about you for thinking I am smart enough to be racist and to do that critical thinking thingy.

I guess we both learned something today for the professor.

I don't want to spoil it for you, but wait until you get to the all the petitions from college campus about conservative speakers coming to campus to talk. If this blew your mind, buckle up!
