Frankly, I'm completely ignorant when it comes to the Critical Race Theory curriculum. What is it, where does it come from, and is it legitimate? Has anyone here read it and maybe give a quick summary?

You misinterpreted my entire post, as what I said was clearly not a defense of anything. I was simply pointing out the absurdity of your position.

Biological determinism stipulates that women, blacks, and every other oppressed-minority should just ignore ID politics because they have to eventually get with the program with one, monolithic American identity. "Socialism" only works in small countries run by mostly white people, because only homogeneous, white populations are able to forge such a strong, nationalist identity.

For 3 years I read pro-slavery ideology and learned a lot about this mindset.

It didn't suggest that at all. Your failure to grasp the analogy is not my fault, but I will try to explain it.

You said that David Duke engaging in race-based identity politics demonstrates that it is evil. You are claiming that the association alone is all that it takes. By that rationale, anything engaged in by evil people is inherently evil. The argument deflects from the need to defend the position by framing it as inherently bad, but the reality is that you are engaging in a fallacy. Something being associated with a bad person does not make that thing inherently bad.

I mean your line of reasoning (and I use that term very loosely here) leads to the same belief that people who stood up for equality and civil rights actually caused more bigotry from those who didn’t want them to have that, and they shouldn’t have stood up for those ideas.

That is something I’ll oppose you on every single time you suggest it.
