    Ever wonder why Trump does rallies with such regularity? And he presents short and often easy to remember lines that the crowd can repeat? "Lock her up". "MAGA". Etc. Its a form of mass politics that conditions the crowd to think alike and feel welcoming and belonging. Member of the crowd then relinquishes critical thoughts willingly. Pull up any interview from a MAGA goer and one can see the disconnect. Moreover, there aren't concrete ideas on how to "Make America Great Again" or what it is. These people are selling a myth, much as Mussolini and Hitler sold. And they will chase thus myth with whatever means necessary. Whoever they kill.

    So yeah this ultranationalism added with the authoritarianism. A sprinkle of the cult personality. A sprinkle of this resentment politics. And we have a full bloom fascist movement.

    Thankfully trump is a selfish buffoon. He has already exhausted the little wealth his poorer true believers have. He doesnt spend the money he received on anyone else. He is buying private jets, etc. The chef's kiss? This past august, his super pac received $5. That's not a typo.

    Here's the thing, what was considered a Republican just 30 years ago would be considered a RINO with you MAGA extremist and that can be back up with actual evidence, not feelings or talk show propaganda. There's a long list of Republicans that were ousted by extremist that has taken over that party. Hell, a fiscal conservative/socialist liberal does not exist in the party anymore, all that exist these days are firestarters! Whether it be yelling about "open borders" (which do not exist) "welfare state" (which do not exist), to the "Green New Deal" (which is not written into law).

    I use the word extremist when describing your party because they have chosen to govern in a manner that doesn't seek the support of those that disagree with them. They routinely describe EVERY Democratic candidate as the "most socialist" to ever seek office in order to stoke out anger and fear with the voters. They choose to engage in issues such as LGBQ rights, Women's rights, CRT, and painting the opposition as Pro-Crime all in an effort to turn back the clock on all the advancements we have made since the 1964 Civil Rights Act and the 1965 Voters Right act.

    The Republican party support the violent attempt to overturn an election and now they are supporting candidates that have pledge to weaken election protections that are in place to prevent discarding votes that doesn't meet their liking. They are actively trying to subvert democracy.

    I know we are at a divide in this country that probably can't be fixed so unity is not in my wheelhouse. It is also not in yours by your post and that is great. We agree on that completely it seems.

    Funny how you talk about Rhino and Maga Extremists and I would use the exact same wording to discuss Blue Dog and radical extremist lefties now. Really the exact same, so good post.

    I agree with most of what you said, just swap the sides.

    Because he believes in our Constitutional Republic and he chooses to govern in that manner. He was elected to govern, not to hold pep rallies every other week.

    Lol. Thanks. I didnt even look it up and knew the original boast was garbage. As are 99.9% of all his children and sycophants' claims about him. Its either hired actors to boost his crowds in one way or another or have dump trucks circle around the construction site to deceive a casino business partner that real work is done.
