When I just saw that they had a Harris rally in The Villages (!) with over 500 decorated golf carts, well, that’s crazy. Times have certainly changed. Vance shrinks his base, even. The Villages was overwhelmingly Trump in 2020, to the point that putting a Biden poster on your golf cart got you harassed and your golf cart vandalized.

I remember one guy who had a Biden sign on his golf cart and had to have people come out and sit with him because he was threatened. The Biden signs were rare, and Trump signs were on many. People were decorating the insides of their garages with all the Trump stuff so they could leave their garage doors up during the day to show support for Trump. They aren’t allowed to have yard signs or other visible political stuff in their yards.

500 golf carts for Harris is a lot for that place.

It would certainly be risky and I’m not sure Trump’s handlers would go along with it, but Trump is desperate and impulsive.
