I feel like this deserves a separate topic.
What will be the plan for the DNC?
How will this all shake out?

MSNBC via Politico: in his meeting with advisors last night, Biden was informed that internal polling showed he no longer had a path to victory. As Steve Kornacki pointed out, that’s still subjective and could have changed. Trump reached that same point in 2016. But it signals that Biden took the news seriously and acted in what he must have believed is in the best interests of our country.

It also indicates the work the eventual nominee has to do to turn the tide.

I think the internal polls might have shown that Harris was the best shot, maybe even a good shot. I don't think Biden relies on polls in his decision to step down, but then doesn't rely on them in his decision of whom to endorse. Fingers crossed the "too old" thing was the only thing holding back the Democratic ticket.

It's not just this, but the contrast of polling of senate candidates in the same swing states. It was clear voters were rejecting Biden alone.

Everyone take their victory laps and air their grievances tonight. Get it all of your system. Then tomorrow we roll up our figurative sleeves and get to work defeating Trump's regime.

So, we are forced to spend time and money on fighting Crooked Joe Biden, he polls badly after having a terrible debate, and quits the race. Now we have to start all over again. Shouldn’t the Republican Party be reimbursed for fraud in that everybody around Joe, including his doctors and the Fake News Media, knew he was not capable of running for, or being, President? Just askin’?

You and many others affected that state polling even though you aren't from those states when you started calling for Biden to step down. A mass action effect. You and many others moved that needle.

As an interested observer watching from abroad, this has to be completely invigorating for the Democrats and the majority of Americans. $50 million ~ in donations in such a small window is no small feat. Hopefully Harris can maintain this momentum through until November.

Joe had 3 weeks to turn it around. If he had been coherent, and articulate in his TWO primetime interviews. His polling would have recovered, and he would still be the nominee.
