So just chalk this up as some “one off” incident? This seems like a pretty big “one off”.ok so then NOT the worst failure in history- just the worst failure that you can remember.
Remember any other failures? Not ones you pluck off X- ones that you distinctly remember
I’m not equating my TSA job to a USSS job...So you can miss me with “she has 25 years of experience.” It doesn’t mean a whole lot to me when I know that the process to get fired is damn near impossible.
What’s the ideal timeline for this to be put to bed? You can’t let this spill into September or October with the heat being turned up as we get closer to the election, right? It doesn't negate anything. What it does say is that she has a lot of experience and that experience can be valuable in a position of leadership because experience can help in making executive decisions. It doesn't excuse anything, but it does say that she has the required experience for someone in that position.
Based on what criteria? Have you seen all of the facts of what happened and the results of the investigation? Of course not. Classic case of putting the cart before the horse.
Yes, and?
They didn't almost get the former President almost assassinated. The shooter did that. We don't yet know who was responsible for the security lapse. Until that's determined, we shouldn't be firing anyone.
Once it's determined who was responsible for the security lapses, you fire those responsible.
If the leader was responsible for a culture that led to a security lapse, then fire the leader.
The pitchfork waving and out for blood responses to whoever just doesn't suit me well because that doesn't actually solve anything.
The shots were very well placed. These were good shots, Trump just miraculously moved a split second before. If he didn't, we would be in a very different country and world right now.To be clear, I’m not saying that. I’m addressing the conspiracy speculation. If it was a conspiracy to kill Trump, either a better shooter would have been in place, or a less skilled shooter taking higher percentage shots.
Basically I’m just saying I don’t buy into the conspiracy theories. I do understand those will immediately pop up very quickly for something like this.
There hasn’t even been a completed investigation yet and we know very little.
Why is age in the equation?so you don't see a difference in a 20 year old with minimal training at a local gun range and an ex marine who was a marksman?

I’m not equating my TSA job to a USSS job (however I knew how to spot threats). I’m saying I worked for the TSA (a government job) for 3 years, and I could have stayed around longer while giving the same performance I gave on day 1, but I didn’t want to go that route. Plenty of people I worked with had been with the TSA since the creation of the department under Bush, and they were extremely lazy. The job is not designed for the average go getter, and in many cases you see people fail up with promotions (poor test scores, poor work ethic) in order to get them moved to someone else’s department to screw around. Honestly it was my time with the TSA that dissuaded me from pursuing jobs with the CIA after graduation. I hated seeing how government employment worked.
I still see those same folks when I fly in and out of NOLA. Those people who were lazy and not good workers then don’t seem to have changed given how I see them bickering over who has to put bags in a scanning machine, and fighting over who can sit at the scanning machine so that they can sit.
No matter how lazy or how poor their scores are, they won’t be let go or fired because it literally would take an act of Congress to fire them (outside of the 1 year probationary period). They will simply be moved around and keep accumulating seniority and benefits (which isn’t a bad deal). The USSS operates in the same fashion where you won’t get fired without an act of Congress.
So you can miss me with “she has 25 years of experience.” It doesn’t mean a whole lot to me when I know that the process to get fired is damn near impossible.
So snipers do take head shot all the time or not? This thread stated it would never happen but now it does all the time? I get it, information is still coming out and your opinion will change. Understandable.no its not. To suggest otherwise is where the accuracy and dishonesty lie.
Snipers take head shots all the time, and will tell you that the miss ratio on a head shot is much higher than center mass.
Its the reason when you are training on rifle in the military, you are trained on center mass.
And using shot selection/placement is PART of developing a theory, NOT what the THEORY is based on. We now have enough additional info to properly say this kid was troubled and acting on his own.
If you arent willing to accept it, thats your choice. Keep looking for that info that conforms with your bias.
I think his dad was also registered as a R, was he not? With libertarian leanings. The shooter certainly registered as a Republican when he turned 18. Safe to say the family was very much into the GOP gun culture as well.I thought his Dad was Libertarian and mother was a democrat?
He reportedly fired eight shots. I wouldn’t call them very well placed unless he was trying to miss Trump.
So just chalk this up as some “one off” incident? This seems like a pretty big “one off”.
The end result should be a change up top, right? What would the end result be in your opinion?
How do you know this? We don’t have any official information yet, as far as I know. I mean you can find “expert” analysis on Twitter and other sites by people who weren’t there. The shots were very well placed. These were good shots, Trump just miraculously moved a split second before. If he didn't, we would be in a very different country and world right now.
MT, if you went back in time and had the chance, would you kill Hitler or if someone else went back in time, would you want them to kill Hitler? You post the absolute worst, most hateful cynical people in the world. You actually should be ashamed of showing us the ugliness you bathe in on Twitter every day.
