It’s assumed that a bullet grazed his ear and not shrapnel. Maybe safely assumed, but unconfirmed, all the same. Unless medical reports have been released and I missed those.

That’s not a conspiracy theory, we simply don’t know for certain.

Potentially one out of eight still isn’t very well placed. In fact it it indicates the one might have been incredibly lucky to get that close.

It would be interesting to know where the gunshot victims were located and how many of the bullets can be accounted for.

He wasn't in the military so he wasn't trained on 'center mass'.

meaning that they will take it if thats the shot they have. ( and why i followed up with the higher miss ration )

However, they will routinely aim center mass because it lowers the chance of miss.

Again, its a kid that probalbly played way too much FPS shooter games, troubled, bullied etc and was looking to make some "statement" with this action. Its utterly reprehensible, but to apply some conspiracy theory is stretching this out to places it need not go.

I’m saying that it doesn’t take much to rack up seniority in the USSS (as the standard for terminus the same that I experienced while with the TSA).

I’m equating what I saw while I worked for the government to the standard for accumulating seniority to any government job.

I don’t know the mental or physical exams that one has to go through for the USSS, however I do know the physical and mental exams required to qualify for employment with the CIA (or I did know them in 2009), and they aren’t easy (8 min mile run, 50 pull ups, etc., and multiple exams). But if you pass, once your in, your in.

And then USSS Director Knight was not held responsible.

Its a reprehensible act- one that is quite difficult to combat against - especially in light of "access" that candidates and officials seek to offer.

With that said, if it turns out that there was malfeasance by the director, i have no problem with her dismissal.

It's hard to tell for sure from video, but you "hear" what sounds like two shots before Trump reaches for his ear. He seems to get on the deck as the other shots sound. My guess is the first shot is the one that nicked him and the follow up shots weren't as well-placed, which wouldn't be surprising.

I will be very interested to see a detailed forensic analysis of all the shots, and the timeline for everything. All we have right now is rampant speculation based on eyewitness accounts (which are notoriously unreliable) and some video, plus some amateur cell phone vids. Honestly, we don’t have any proof that Trump was actually struck by a bullet, we just don’t know how close those shots came to him.

If I’m any candidate with a USSS detail I’m putting a few dollars from my campaign towards private security. At least until this is all sorted out.

id argue that should have been from day one.

They rake in $100s of millions in donations, they can afford private details.

But it comes down to access. Will the candidate want to speak from inside a bullet-proof enclosure to get his point across? loses a bit of "punch" when having to do that. Or shaking hands with voters, or having a town hall in a diner.

For the record I’m with you if you say that you didn’t like the Hobbit or the new Amazon series. They aren’t as good as the LoTR series, and the books aren’t on the same level IMHO.
