And yet that's way more information that we got from the Secret Service director today.so someone who at one time, been at Crooks' home in the last year ( or more, not quite clear on the parameters ) had been at the Gallery Place Mall in DC? Could there have been a concert at Capital One Arena ( next door ) they were in town for?
way to many questions to entertain any of what they are attempting to connect.
They're not going to cooperate until they have the investigation completed, and to expect anything else is ignorant af.And yet that's way more information that we got from the Secret Service director today.
There could be nothing to that phone data, but at this point you can't rule anything out especially with the Secret Service and DHS not fully cooperating with Congress.
Exactly. If the SS tells all, it would undermine their investigation. Some agents may need to be punished, and other issues may have to be dealt with, but that should happen after adequate investigation time has been given. At best these early hearings should be classified. They're not going to cooperate until they have the investigation completed, and to expect anything else is ignorant af.
So you admit that the phone data, on it's own, doesn't prove anything...but then immediately jump to that being related to some kind of conspiracy? Are you not even willing to consider the fact that the Secret Service simply doesn't know yet what that phone data means, so they don't want to comment on it?And yet that's way more information that we got from the Secret Service director today.

Better yet, that is not even ANYTHING that the USSS is responsible for knowing! That would be the responsibility of the federal government bureau that is investigating the shooter. Are you not even willing to consider the fact that the Secret Service simply doesn't know yet what that phone data means, so they don't want to comment on it?
Yeah, the ignorance I'm seeing about who does what is all over social media. Wanna be experts know nothing.Better yet, that is not even ANYTHING that the USSS is responsible for knowing! That would be the responsibility of the federal government bureau that is investigating the shooter.

MTG Asks Secret Service Director If There Was A ‘Conspiracy To Kill President Trump’
Several GOP members flirted with conspiracy theories that have been percolating on social media since the shooting.www.yahoo.com
“The people there knew that there was a danger, they knew there was a threat to President Trump, and it was allowed to happen,” Greene bellowed as the time expired on her questioning of the Secret Service director. “Was there a stand-down order, Ms. Cheatle? Was there a conspiracy to kill President Trump?!”
“No, absolutely not,” Cheatle responded.
MTG is such a joke.
I got no issue with that of they feel like they're not getting enough answers, but I wouldn't have expected any 10 days after the assassination attempt. 30 days and I'd feel differently. 10 days really isn't enough time to gather all of the facts.
Sure, but expecting a legitimate report 10 days after, especially when considering you have several agencies involved, is unreasonable imo. You also have to factor it's the FBI leading the investigation and not the USSS, so she would have to be sure anything she's saying doesn't cause issues with the FBI investigation. Certainly, you don't want to give an inaccurate assessment without sufficient context. That's just a bad idea all the way around. The hot wash could have happened days after the event. She could have provided some takeaways and answered some basic questions. Most likely everyone involved that day had until the end of day to provide a written account of events. Ten days is enough to review and generate some takeaways. She could have provided a status of the investigation. Sixty days is forever and there is no discussion of what immediate actions she is taking.
Heck, she could have answered “it’s not appropriate to discuss operational parameters in an open meeting.” At least that sounds better than unanswered questions.
More heads probably will roll. We are 11 days in, and we have only been focused on the USSS. With the coming days we will probably see more USSS agents canned as well as the canning of Trump’s security detail. We also need to learn more about the LEOs part in all of this.More heads probably need to roll. Who was the leader of Trump's security detail? Weird that we haven't heard anything from that person. Why haven't they been in the spotlight and under fire?
