I fear we are really going to be in a bad place due to the obvious cuts to the federal agencies that deal with infectious disease, but also the negative effect the Affordable Care act has had on non urban hospitals. Our front line defenses are ineffectual and our ability to treat the populous is probably at an all time low. Factor in the cost of healthcare and I can see our system crashing. What do you think about the politics of this virus?

Wait, I'm confused. That was an MSNBC clip they showed of Fauci. So can we trust MSNBC to report news accurately or are they a leftist rag?

Can we trust what Fauci says or should he be fired for lying to the American people?

I do not understand how you can REASONABLY disqualify a source when you don't like what they say, and then quote that source when you like what they say.

Can you help me with that?
Are you suggesting the video of Fauci was a deep fake and not really him talking on the video?

No, you cannot trust Fauci, he is a political hack and he should be fired and maybe see jail time if found guilty.

    Did that help?

    • In a memo sent by the health department Monday, white residents were told not to bother trying to get Pfizer's Paxlovid pill or monoclonal antibody treatments
    • 'Non-white race or Hispanic/Latino ethnicity should be considered a risk factor,' the document says in section marked 'eligibility' for the two types of treatments
    • The rationale behind the move, the org says, stems from 'longstanding systemic health and social inequities' supposedly subjected on other races
    • Such disparities 'have contributed to an increased risk of severe illness and death from COVID-19,' the health department goes on to state in the bulletin
    • The bizarre declaration comes as the Omicron variant continues to spread across the country, ravaging The Empire State
I know this is not racist because white people (along with the rest of the world) at one time held slaves and must be the only skin color to be punished, but it is at least illegal and people should go to jail, right?

I wasn't sure where to put this, as it would bleed into to so many other threads. Can someone explain how someone thought this was a good idea? Is this part of CRT, the great replacement?

Wikipedia editors have voted to ban the Daily Mail as a source for the website in all but exceptional circumstances after deeming the news group “generally unreliable”.

The move is highly unusual for the online encyclopaedia, which rarely puts in place a blanket ban on publications and which still allows links to sources such as Kremlin backed news organisation Russia Today, and Fox News, both of which have raised concern among editors."

When something is LESS reliable than Russia today and Fox neews then .. :hmm:

Eligibility Oral antiviral treatment is authorized for patients who meet all the following criteria:
    • Age 12 years and older weighing at least 40 kg (88 pounds) for Paxlovid, or 18 years and older for molnupiravir
    • Test positive for SARS-CoV-2 on a nucleic acid amplification test or antigen test; results from an FDA-authorized home-test kit should be validated through video or photo but, if not possible, patient attestation is adequate
    • Have mild to moderate COVID-19 symptoms
o Patient cannot be hospitalized due to severe or critical COVID-19 • Able to start treatment within 5 days of symptom onset
    • Have a medical condition or other factors that increase their risk for severe illness.

It's a shock headline manipulated by townhall.com due to lowered availability of these treatments (driven by the high number of unvaccinated people getting sick TBH) but it's grounded in that agency determining non-white non-Hispanic people are considered a co-morbidity due to the high number of them being more greatly effected by the virus.

He is not going to answer your question. He doesn't answer any questions. He lobs explosive rhetoric around the forum, does a few whataboutisms to dance around the original topic, then throws in a couple of logical fallacies, and repeats. He's like a high end QANON chat bot.

Don't know, what article did you pull it out of?

Did you happen to take a glance at the actual release form the NY health department?

I know it seems so crazy and wrong that it is hard to believe but don't attack the messenger, I didn't write it or have a say in it's release.

The fact you are trying to defend it is actually pretty telling.

Lying to congress. That is a no-no, right?
But no agency is charging him with that crime.

So go back to the logical fallacies from earlier, and understand that absent any information showing that he has done so, speculating that he did it is inserting your giant oversized hanging out Bias.

I didn’t see him defending anything. Q anon you need to upgrade the firmware on this chat bot
