Didn't really see a place for this so I thought I would start a thread about all things LGBTQ since this is a pretty hot topic in our culture right now

    https://www.cnbc.com/2021/06/17/sup...y-that-refuses-to-work-with-lgbt-couples.html

    • The Supreme Court on Thursday delivered a unanimous defeat to LGBT couples in a high-profile case over whether Philadelphia could refuse to contract with a Roman Catholic adoption agency that says its religious beliefs prevent it from working with same-sex foster parents.
    • Chief Justice John Roberts wrote in an opinion for a majority of the court that Philadelphia violated the First Amendment by refusing to contract with Catholic Social Services once it learned that the organization would not certify same-sex couples for adoption.

I will admit, I was hopeful for this decision by the SCOTUS but I was surprised by the unanimous decision.

While I don't think there is anything wrong, per se, with same sex couples adopting and raising children (I actually think it is a good thing as it not an abortion) but I also did not want to see the state force a religious institution to bend to a societal norm.

……“I got a call yesterday from someone who works on the [festival] board... She explained to me that there were some board members and some people in town who had questions about what kind of performance I would be putting on,” the singer, who said he was raised in Logan County for 21 years, continued.

“[They] wanted to ensure that I would not be promoting homosexuality or sexuality in a family-friendly environment – I don’t really know what they expected I was gonna do other than just come and put on a hell of a show like we do,” he said.

Mac said he was made aware that some townspeople were “very upset” that a gay person would be headlining the festival.

The singer added that these critics had threatened to “protest at the show, which is just so disheartening”.

Despite not wanting to let down “the people who need to see me most there in that space” nor “cave and let those [critics] win”, Mac said he had decided to cancel the show and let organisers book someone less “controversial”.…..

They’re complaining about a gay performer due to the “family” nature of the Kentucky tobacco festival!

I can tell you aren't familiar with Kentucky. It's like western Carolina with more inbreeding.

I’m quite familiar, I lived in Tennessee for six years, so I had exposure. I’ve been to Louisville three times, Bowling Green for a night, Lexington for a night, and even to the wild and wonderful eastern coal country when in high school I visited a friend that moved to Ashland. I lived with a dude from Bowling Green for a time. I’ve even spent a week in Cincinnati, which is basically big city Kentucky.

I’m well versed in Kentucky 😁

No, your first reflex is correct. It should always be the death penalty for child predators. Have you looked into who started the gender theory movement?
And since you believe all drag queens who read story books to children are child predators (that’s what a groomer is, right?), then you believe all drag queens who read books to children should be put to death?

Just like I said on SR - this is how we get genocide—convincing people that “the others” are hurting children, which leads to an instinctive response to cause to physically harm those people. And when the government won't put them to death, then you have people start taking matters into their own hands.

    The radicalization is almost complete.

Pretty sure that makes you gay under Kentucky state law.

Astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson was confronted on his support for gender ideology concepts,

"We're in a transitional period. So we have to figure that out. But the way to figure out things that require solutions to progressive change is not to regress it to how things once were. If that were the case, I would still be drinking from a segregated water fountain," Tyson responded.

Kisin's co-host said, "I think a lot of people would have an issue with what you're saying now because they see women being denied opportunities, they see an unfair playing field, metaphorically and literally speaking."

Tyson, responded in an elevated tone,

"So fix the playing field, damn it!" he shot back. "Well, don't say it's an unfair playing field so all of a sudden, the big issue is trans women taking the slot of a woman in an unfair playing field. Fix the playing field! And you know something? The day you fix that playing field, this conversation will look completely ridiculous. That's what I'm trying to tell you."

Other than murder, what is the death penalty used as a punishment for? Can't think of anything. You'd have to change a lot of existing laws to make that happen. Doesn't sound plausible. Also, there are degrees. Are you saying that any act of child molestation should be punished with the death penalty? Do you have any idea how many people we'd be executing?

I have no sympathy for and make no excuses for child predators, but your thought process here is irrational.

We've been down that rabbit hole before. Not interested in following you into it again.
You are right as far as I know. I think La tried to make child rape a capital offense. But yes, those should be, and any level, even child porn should be punishable by death.
I also think corruption by public officials should be as well.
As far as the number of inmates executed, why would that matter? Do you know how many innocent people are killed by abortion every year? I bet it would be a lot less than the pedos we put down.

If it turns out that prenatal hormones play a role in sexual orientation and/or gender identity, then people who are uncomfortable with sexual diversity are going to be even more miserable as time goes on.

Most of the environmental pollutants across the planet are endocrine disruptors and they are in all of the air we breathe, the water we drink and the food we eat. But wait there's more, not only are they everywhere, but their parts per billion levels keep climbing at an alarming pace.

But wait there's even more, we are doing very little to curtail the problem. Staunchly CIS, hetero parents might be wise to start preparing themselves for an ever increasing likelihood that their children will be very non-CIS and non-hetero.

How much you want to bet the rabidly anti-hormone treatment for transgender children crowd will bully their way to the front of the line to get prenatal hormone treatments to make sure their babies turn out CIS and hetero?
So does early childhood sexual trama.

No, you cannot force other people to adhere to your religious beliefs, no matter how badly you want to do so.
So murder is ok if you are not religious? Wild take.

Embracing some of the finer parts of Sharia Law are you now? Loss of hands and other appendages, this will lead.
