Didn't really see a place for this so I thought I would start a thread about all things LGBTQ since this is a pretty hot topic in our culture right now

    https://www.cnbc.com/2021/06/17/sup...y-that-refuses-to-work-with-lgbt-couples.html

    • The Supreme Court on Thursday delivered a unanimous defeat to LGBT couples in a high-profile case over whether Philadelphia could refuse to contract with a Roman Catholic adoption agency that says its religious beliefs prevent it from working with same-sex foster parents.
    • Chief Justice John Roberts wrote in an opinion for a majority of the court that Philadelphia violated the First Amendment by refusing to contract with Catholic Social Services once it learned that the organization would not certify same-sex couples for adoption.

I will admit, I was hopeful for this decision by the SCOTUS but I was surprised by the unanimous decision.

While I don't think there is anything wrong, per se, with same sex couples adopting and raising children (I actually think it is a good thing as it not an abortion) but I also did not want to see the state force a religious institution to bend to a societal norm.

But that wouldn't be first-hand knowledger. It would be yet another baseless opinion that you seem to think actually matters for some reason.
Yes, you are correct. Corruption by our elected officials and in our public institutions does not matter.

All you right wingers have that oblivious gene. It's like y'all are all politicians.

What do you mean? What are you talking about???? Uh hu.
Do you mean because I don't know about Q? I will venture a guess that the majority of right wingers have no idea what Q is. Those that do, think it is unhinged drivel. From what I know about it, I would also think it is unhinged drivel, and yet to the left, we are all members and attend the weekly meetings. Silly really.

Not unlike the alt-left that deny Antifa is a thing? They don't have a website, remember so they can't be real. They also don't have a governing body or a national organization, it is just a right wing conspiracy theory, remember?

Yeah, I'm not playing that little game.

I am not even 100% sure what Qananon is so I know I can't see the 'thread running through all of this'. Qanon sounds like a liberal conspiracy theory and obviously it is if all conservatives that oppose groomers are part of qanon.

Although, if Qanon is against child sexualization and gender theory in K through 3rd grades, then sign me up, is there a website?
You’re not fooling me with this drivel. You are either hopelessly dim, or you know exactly what you are doing. I don’t think you’re that dim, btw.

This guy keeps an eye on far right activists and websites, this is what he has observed.

This is rich coming from someone who has maintained that the majority of teachers are “groomers” and that the majority of school boards in this country are “corrupt”. This is QAnon, whether you care to admit it or not. I agree that it is unhinged drivel. Why do you believe it and promote it?

I still don't see how the Parental Rights in Education bill has anything to do with the LGTBTQ community? I personally don't think anyone, straight, gay, furries, groomers, trans, or whatever should be discussing their sexual preferences with kids in Kindergarten. Can you explain why this turned into an LGTBQ issue?
Crazy how the left really, really, really wants that.

I am sure your guy is hopelessly objective and not biased, right? LOL

Much like Trump lives the lefts head, this Q thing has really distorted yalls reality. I thought the right was the land of conspiracy theory? But I guess you guys took a wacky right wing crazy person conspiracy theory and made it into your own. Good stuff.

    Agree with what exactly?

Does this also apply to as being a conservative and being labeled as a bigot and racist all the time? Is that also offensive to people who have actually experienced racism and bigotry, or is this only reserved for the thin skinned alt-left radicals?

Hint, if you are offended by being called something, the mirror is calling!

Why do right wingers keeping pushing culture wars and laws for problems that don't exist, like Florida's "Don't say gay" bill?

I mean, It's been pretty well established that this grooming of elementary school kids by teachers or LGBTQ people isn't occurring.

We passed a federal against lynching last week. That doesn't happen either but I have a feeling you are all for that, right?
If this (discussing sexuality with 5 year olds) doesn't happen, then why is the left so angry about it? Seems like it would be a pointless law that will never have to be enforced. Correct?

No, not correct. Lynching has a long, dark history in America. You should educate yourself on it.

We don't inact laws because the right wing is full of zelots that need to be appeased. Or at least we shouldn't, but that's happening all across America in Republican states.

Grooming and child sexualization has a long dark history in America as well.

Do you think grooming of children or lynching happen more currently?

We literally just enacted a law for something that has not happen, 100% positive it has not happened in what, 40 years? When was the last time you heard about a sexual grooming in a school? This week? So who is a appeasing zelots?

I mean, if we're talking about Catholic Priest, of course. There should be a lot more scrutiny of Catholic and religious schools (and laws enacted) to prevent grooming and sexual predation at religious schools. I'm sure you agree given recent history.

why, yes, I can absolutely tell you why this is an LBGTQ issue, thanks for asking.

It’s because that’s the only thing the bill addresses. You’d think that if Rs actually cared about discussing sexual activity in general, they would have addressed it. But they didn’t. Nothing in the bill prohibits talking about heterosexual sexual preferences. In fact, I read that a D lawmaker proposed widening the bill to include all sexual talk, and the author didn’t want to include that. He said if would detract from the purpose of the bill. So that’s why this is an LBGTQ issue.

Of course, this doesn’t really match up with your narrative. But that’s what I read.

Yes, if you call something racist when it isn’t, that’s offensive. The problem is that according to people like you NOTHING is racist. Hence you refuse to see it even when it’s obvious to everyone else.

What your side is doing is a bit different, in that you are taking words that have meanings, and twisting them to mean something else. They did it for CRT and now doing it for grooming.

A teacher acknowledging that a student is gay or trans, or that one or both of their parents are gay or trans, isn’t “grooming”. Having a discussion with a student about any of this isn’t “grooming”.

It’s QAnon bleeding into the far right. That’s what it is.
