Many of Trump's endorsed candidates did not do well on Nov. 8th.

Gov. Ron DeSantis DID do well.
    He won convincingly.
Yet in this OP's opinion, Donald Trump is an egomaniac who is seemingly incapable of putting "Party over Self"
Trump has ZERO chance of being elected our next president.
In my opinion, if Trump would just shut up and go away (fat chance of that)...but "if" Trump did that, Gov. Ron DeSantis would have a CHANCE to be a formidable candidate for President in 2024.
Here is an interesting article on this topic...

What do any of you think re. Trump vs DeSantis?

You are really not aware of the complaints that Blue city mayors are making about the flood of migrants that they are experiencing? You should widen your horizons as far as news sources.

Washington, D.C., mayor Muriel Bowser complained recently about the costs of helping those in the country illegally. For months, Texas and Arizona have offered illegal immigrants free bus rides to D.C. That’s significantly increased the number of undocumented immigrants there, and the city can’t handle it

This month, 10 City Council members sent the mayor a letter claiming those helping illegal immigrants are “burned out and overwhelmed.” The letter continues, “Migrants are being directed to existing district systems and resources intended for district residents. Without action, there is a risk of these systems being overwhelmed.”

Sorry for the Big Red, but I know how people sometimes gloss over things.

As New York City was inundated with asylum seekers bused from the border last year, Mayor Eric Adams cast blame on the Republican governors of Texas, Arizona and Florida.

But when the cost to feed and house the migrants quickly escalated, Mr. Adams shifted his ire to the federal government, pressing for more emergency aid, and to allow asylum seekers to work legally.

On Wednesday, Mr. Adams delivered his harshest criticism yet, singling out President Biden, an ally who has placed Mr. Adams on a national advisory board for his re-election campaign.

“The president and the White House have failed New York City on this issue,” Mayor Adams said during a news conference at City Hall, mentioning Mr. Biden by name.

I'll read up. Appreciate the sources.

If the sanctuary cities were not ready for them, why did they invite them?

Did Biden ask the small towns in red states if they had made provision for the arrival of thousands of asylum seekers admitted en masse and sent to those towns? No, he did not.
    More diversion.

It's the only play in a losing playbook.

    Trump posting on July 4th

Wow, now that’s a presidential post! Just when Trump seems like he can’t get more deplorable, he proves me wrong. I will celebrate if they ever put him in jail. I suspect Republican leadership will condemn this and then forgive and forget.

He's well behaved alright. I doubt their would ever be any kind of sex scandal, unless the left ginned one up because he came to close to beating Biden.

I could never vote for him, though. He said WTTE of "our priority is getting the Ukrainians what they need in their war with Russia." That's not my priority for the U.S. We have plenty of problems of our own to prioritize.

I think the more we escalate in Ukraine, the closer we get to another Bosnia, except far more deadly and it won't be as easy to exit. Last thing we need is another long-term commitment to a war, especially a European war.

Good guy, though. Very moral, like Jimmy Carter.

EDIT: You don't hold him accountable for standing by Trump, even with the pushy gabbing that others can't get enough of talking about? Pence stood by Trump no matter how bad Trump's behavior was until the moment Trump asked him to do something that he thought he'd get in trouble for. I'm surprised you pick him as the most moral.

If there is a well-behaved politician that is an alternative, let me know their name and I'll consider them instead of Trump.

You’ve got to be kidding. It makes it so hard to think you’re reasonable when you say stuff like this. It’s okay to admit what everyone knows - Trump is a crude person. He’s got other things you can hang on to but this “he’s just like all of them” is patently absurd.

That's not my point. My point is that hating Trump is not enough. There has to be an alternative and as soon as you name them, they will turn out to be flawed also.

You keep moving the goal posts. Makes it hard to have a rational conversation. You asked me to name one, I did, then you had to make excuses. But hey, if it makes you sleep better at night I guess.

Everyone has flaws so what, that’s a non-sequitur. When it comes to crude public comments and behavior, undignified for the office of the President, Trump occupies his own space. Far more prone to crude and undignified moments than any president in our lifetimes - or any current candidate.

    He can full-on embarrassing

And the excuses keep coming. It's not a good faith discussion when the candidate could be Jesus and you'd just find more excuses to support Trump. Just be honest and say you're not open to considering anyone else. I'd actually respect that more than the excuses.

This is a lot of what has turned me off from the GOP, I mean Trump started the revulsion, but this shirt right here has sealed the deal. Who does he think are his neighbors and his constituents? He’s basically saying that he doesn’t think over half the country are worthwhile people. Why would anyone except the cult vote for this?
