Many of Trump's endorsed candidates did not do well on Nov. 8th.
    *
Gov. Ron DeSantis DID do well.
    He won convincingly.
Yet in this OP's opinion, Donald Trump is an egomaniac who is seemingly incapable of putting "Party over Self"
Trump has ZERO chance of being elected our next president.
In my opinion, if Trump would just shut up and go away (fat chance of that)...but "if" Trump did that, Gov. Ron DeSantis would have a CHANCE to be a formidable candidate for President in 2024.
Here is an interesting article on this topic...

What do any of you think re. Trump vs DeSantis?

Do you consider dating someone that had been legally separated for over six monts and was in the middle of divorce proceedings to be the same as cheating on your pregnant wife?
If that bothers you how do you feel about someone cheating on his wife with a porn star not long after she gave birth to his son?

and his wife was his mistress that he cheated on his previous wife with?
That bothers me also. Which candidate for president should I support because I can be confident that they are guilty of no such transgressions?

this is like the Trump/Biden/Clinton classified documents

on a surface level they are similar but in reality very different scenarios

    with one being much worse

    and if the question is:

Which is worse? What X did or what Donald Trump did?

    the answer is always Trump

None, clearly. Just don't vote. Maybe you can convince a bunch of your like-minded friends to do the same out of solidarity.

No, because nothing is ever exactly the same as anything else.

My opposition to spouse cheating is not because of the commandment, it's because I like for people to give their marriage a chance before they take the stop of divorce. Understand that was Jill's choice, but Biden should have kept his nose and other body parts out of their marriage until the divorce was finalized. Decent people do not wreck families. Or maybe I should say it is not a decent act to wreck a marriage.

How did he wreck the marriage that was already in the process of ending?

This is why the hypocrisy bothers me. You say it bothers you, yet you still support him. This is a guy who bragged about grabbing women's p.... and when asked about it now, never admits he's shouldn't have said it.

Is that what you do? Not vote for a candidate unless they have a perfect moral record?

    Not what I'll do either.

But, you support Biden who (I feel like this is getting so repetitive that you could finish this sentence for me).

Lmao, I actually don't support Biden. I'm supporting supporting a Republican not named Trump/DeSantis.

Biden would be my choice vs Trump/DeSantis...otherwise, no.

As horrible as Trump is on nearly every level, the main thing I care about is that he is a threat to Democracy. Almost any other Republican would be more acceptable than him. As repugnant as DeSantis is, I don't think he is a threat to Democracy. The Republicans that I worry about are the ones that are willing to overturn elections. That encompasses a lot of the Republican party, but if push comes to shove, none are as much of a threat as Trump. Trump is even talking more moderately about abortion, so he may moderate on issues, but speaking of issues with a person who's goal is to become a dictator is pointless, because if he succeeds, then he'll do whatever he wants.

Who is this republican that you are supporting supporting?

    Why don't you support Biden?
I haven't actually decided yet, but it's not Trump/DeSantis. Would have liked former MD governor Hogan, Kasich or someone similar. Maybe even Romney. But I don't think they're running.

I don't support Biden because one, I think he's a poor candidate for reelection. He's getting old and I just worry about his health. And I think that wouldn't bode well for the election.

He's definitely not an exciting candidate. He's far more of a gentleman then T/D tho. I just think, for me to support a Democrat, he'd have to be younger, a moderate and who brings fresh ideas to the table.

I'm sure that you will never name an actual candidate that you actually support. The "I don't support anyone in particular" talking point always comes out when someone just wants to slam those supported by others, without ever having to defend an alternative.

Biden won't beat Trump for the reasons you say, unless somehow the border crises is ended. I look for him to take dramatic action on the border of exactly the type that Democrats slammed Trump for.

Can you read? I did name names I'd support. I'll name someone after the field is determined and I see a debate or two. The field isn't even set yet, so I'm gonna keep my options open. I think most people should do as much as well.

Well, keep in mind who won the last election. Between Biden and Trump, my money is on Biden. Clearly we're gonna disagree here.

They are not actual candidates. Romney? I didn't even know he's still alive.

    Clearly.

I think that the four years of coordinated operations against Trump by the DOJ/FBI/DNC had their effect. I also think that the unlawfully changed election rules with the excuse of COVID gave Democrats a Yuge advantage that year.

For 2024, the Dems will need a real candidate, not a creepy old man hiding at home. I suggest y'all go with Newsom.

Pass on Newsom. I think he's got issues that would be problematic in a general.

Hurd, Christie, and Hutchison are the most palatable Republican candidates for me and in a different national climate I would probably at least consider voting for them.

You keep saying that and it keeps on being a LIE.

The rules were not "illegally changed".

If they were, then ya boi Trump failed to provide a shred of evidence across 50-plus lawsuits.

Cheato Jesus had not only his (allegedly) vast personal wealth, but the full might of the President to draw on and he got diddly.

Either the election was fair or Trump and his entire legal team are the most incompetent boobs to ever hold a press conference at a garden center.

And next door to a porn store lol.

I think the results from the 2022 midterms, post Republican election laws and all, should've confirmed to any remaining holdouts that the 2020 results were valid. Of course it didn't but it should've.
