Many of Trump's endorsed candidates did not do well on Nov. 8th.
    *
Gov. Ron DeSantis DID do well.
    He won convincingly.
Yet in this OP's opinion, Donald Trump is an egomaniac who is seemingly incapable of putting "Party over Self"
Trump has ZERO chance of being elected our next president.
In my opinion, if Trump would just shut up and go away (fat chance of that)...but "if" Trump did that, Gov. Ron DeSantis would have a CHANCE to be a formidable candidate for President in 2024.

What do any of you think re. Trump vs DeSantis?

Would you ever call your own daughter a "piece of arse", talk about her great body, or speculate about dating her? On a scale of 1 to 10, how creepy is that thought?
    Seven.

How creepy are Biden's "inappropriate showers" with his daughter?

Expecting no answer, I'll say nine.

Trump will be the GOP nominee. None of the MAGA lite candidates have a prayer of beating Trump. They are too busy pathetically kissing Trump's arse to beat him.

Chris Christie is the only GOP candidate who would not be a total disaster as President, but it's very unlikely that he will gain enough traction to mount a serious challenge. Maybe he'll finish a distant second place to Trump.

If Trump is also indicted for Jan 6, then his support from the MAGA rubes will grow even more.

If it turns out to be true, creepy af.

That said, the things Trump said were done in public. Those are verifiable facts. Why would anyone support someone who said he would date his daughter if he could and talks about her physical attractiveness to that degree?

Because that is how he talks.

I'm from Texas, and we don't talk about out daughters that way. In his culture "piece of arse" is a compliment from what I see on "The Sopranos" for example. That seems to be his way of saying what I would put as, "hard to believe that my little pumpkin has grown into such beautiful young woman."

Is that a creepy statement on my part? It isn't to me, and Trump's is not to him. Stop with the cultural colonialism already.

I take it from your "if true" statement that Ashley Biden does not make the list of women that we should believe?

I'll ask you what I have asked many and gotten no answer:

If I wanted to only vote for a politician of the highest moral standards, who verifiably has kept to those high moral standards all of his or her life, and who has no financial ties that could lead to questions about conflicts of interest, who would I vote for?

So long as it is this creep vs. that creep, this bought-out oar vs that bought-out oar, I'll take the creepy bought-out oar who will implement policies that I support, and who agrees with me on issues.

The Democrats have done an awesome job so far of avoiding any talk of the policy issues for he 2024 race.

The best comparison you could find for Trump is a mobster? This might be the most honest thing you've posted.

It's creepy if you also make public statements about dating her if you could.

No, I said "if true" because it's never been confirmed. I try to base my beliefs on things for which I have evidence.

The reason you have not received an answer you deem suitable is that the majority of that question is highly subjective. Someone I deem to be moral may not make the cut for you, for example.

How much weight do you give to your moral standards? For example, what sort of moral failings must be committed by the candidate whose policies you support and agree with before you withdraw that support?

Would you ever consider voting for someone whose policies you did not support or agree with if they were a truly good person with a lifetime of volunteer service and never had as much as a speeding ticket?

I don't agree with the strategy the Democrats put forth at the national level. They have a lot of work to do there.

I agreed that was creepy. I continue to agree.

I don't know. You may be stereotyping me. I'm libertarian, so I'm not a religious right guy. I find it immoral when people cheat on their spouses, and more so when they leave their spouses for someone else. I find theft, murder, malfeasance by public officials immoral.

Other than that, I live and let live.

Depends on the opponent, I suppose. But I remember the Carter years, when we had a president that could be described that way. *shudders*

Policies can themselves be immoral, and in that case we probably do disagree about what is immoral. I believe that Biden's open-border policy, including the denial that Biden has an open-border policy, to be extremely immoral, given the human rights crises that has resulted and was easily predictable. You probably feel that closing the border would be immoral.

Republicans also have a lot of work to do, and they are letting the "We'll Stop Him" 2.0 distract them from that.

In 2020 the official Republican platform was almost literally "whatever Trump says"
Sure, but we knew what Trump said, and we knew what he did during the previous almost four years as president.

We know that about Biden, also. That's why if Democrats want to win, they need to get out in front and talk about how the second Biden administration will be different from the first. Just hating on Trump won't be enough of a platform.

This is interesting, because everything you have said in this post points to someone who should find Trump to be repugnant.

You mean like the cheat on their spouses part? I do find that morally repugnant. I also find it repugnant that Biden did the same. So, I have to pick based on policy, not morality.

I meant all of it, which is why I said "everything".

Joe Biden cheated on his wife?

Do you consider dating someone that had been legally separated for over six monts and was in the middle of divorce proceedings to be the same as cheating on your pregnant wife?
No, because nothing is ever exactly the same as anything else.

My opposition to spouse cheating is not because of the commandment, it's because I like for people to give their marriage a chance before they take the stop of divorce. Understand that was Jill's choice, but Biden should have kept his nose and other body parts out of their marriage until the divorce was finalized. Decent people do not wreck families. Or maybe I should say it is not a decent act to wreck a marriage.

If that bothers you how do you feel about someone cheating on his wife with a porn star not long after she gave birth to his son?

and his wife was his mistress that he cheated on his previous wife with?

This is my first time hearing about this but if they were separated for months and proceeding with the divorce it sounds like they were past giving the marriage a chance

That bothers me also. Which candidate for president should I support because I can be confident that they are guilty of no such transgressions?
