This is what is infuriating about Thomas. The little people abide by sometimes draconian ethics rules, and he just greeds out and grabs everything he can. And nothing happens to him.

They've all accepted gifts in varying amounts and they aren't small gifts... worth thousands of dollars, concert tickets, sporting events, trips, and on and on. I don't think SCOTUS justices should be allowed to accept gifts of that size. I mean, I work for a federal agency and we can't give each other gifts worth more than $20 iirc. I think they should bump it up to $100 because it's been stuck at $20 forever. But accepting gifts worth thousands as a justice and it's treated as no big deal is disturbing.

I don't think it's disturbing at all for a justice to accept concert tickets, sporting events, trips, and on and on, unless they fail to disclose it and/or do not recuse themselves for any case that anyone they accepted a gift from will benefit or be harmed by the ruling in the case.

Jackson accepting concert tickets from Beyonce is not disturbing or a problem at all, because she disclosed it. If a case of Beyonce vs Swift ever reaches the Supreme Court and Jackson doesn't recuse herself, then it's an issue.
