If you believe that abortion is murder, then there should not be any circumstances where you would accept it being legal.

It would still be murder if the life of the mother was at risk, or if a 14 year old got pregnant because her father raped her. In both of those cases the baby would still be an innocent life that did nothing to warrant it's murder.

If you can't get past the point of abortion=baby murder, then there isn't really any debate to be had.

Too bad. A woman can say "Stop" in the middle of said act. She can say "stop" at any time during the ensuing nine months. That's how consent works.

So the act leads to pregnancy? Again, is this a new development in human history or has this been pretty standard since we lived in a cave?

I do think abortion is the murder of a baby. By the definition of the word murder (that I apparently don't understand). So if you can't get past the idea that abortion is birth control, then there is no debate to be had. I agree with that premise.

This is true. I think the disconnect on this debate is on the fundamental level so I don't expect to change a mind and I know I won't change mine. Agree to disagree and all that but it will have to be voted/discussed politically at some point

The cause? It doesn't matter if they just randomly hooked up or spent two months tracking ovulations and doing the deed at every opportunity specifically in order to concieve.
The woman still has to give continuing consent as the pregnancy progresses and symptoms change.
I get that the right loves tyranny, but being fans of rape is a new one.

The undeniable conclusion of believing that the embryo is a “baby” with all the rights of a fully born human being is that there will never be an abortion, ever. Not if the mother will die without it, not if she was underage, not if she was a rape victim, never. And there will never be any in vitro fertilizations, without which millions of couples will remain childless. To deny women a life-saving, safe medical procedure is cruel. And to decide for the women who deserves to have the privilege of obtaining that medical procedure is extremely authoritarian.

Farb, you may want to live in that world, but it won’t ever cost you your life. Or sentence you to infertility. There is only one full human being during the time a woman carries a pregnancy, up until the fetus is viable to survive on its own. And she should have the decision, relying on her own faith and her doctor.

Abortion is not against the law, therefore it cannot be "murder." Maybe in 1970... but we've evolved, thankfully.

You’ve made posts asking people if they were ok with late term abortions as if that is a point of delineation meaningful to the debate, when in reality, you believe that an abortion the day after conception is baby murder. You believe that an abortion due to rape or incest or to save the life of the mother is baby murder.

You disingenuously ask people questions pretending like it’s a debate when in reality none of their answers to those questions matter with regard to your point of view.
