As for the Epstein files. I would have them reviewed by professional independent law enforcement officers and prosecutors. If there is something in those files that needs further investigation, I would expect them to pursue such investigation and exhaust all leads. Then I would expect them to make informed decisions as to whether to pursue charges. Regardless of whom is charged or their political connections.

Absent that. I wouldn’t release the files. Those files may contain names of people that had contact with Epstein that was innocent. Those people deserve their privacy every bit as much as the victims. The government should be in the business of enforcing the law and not in the business of dragging innocent people thru the mud. Isn’t protecting the innocent due process?

The DOJ has no ongoing investigations, so your statement doesn't apply. Congress passed a law mandating the release of the files. The dumb arse president signed it into law because he thought it would get the public off his back and that he'd be able to control it, never truly realizing how hard it would come back on him. So the DOJ is breaking the law currently by not releasing all the documents.

You don't have to see it that way, but you're wrong and on the wrong side of the law on this one. You also don't have to like it., but it's going to be what we continue demanding and scrutinizing.

Also, you talking about due process is rich given your defense of ICE. The hypocrisy from the right is always so overboard, like you have no ability to self reflect. You are conveniently forgetting that disclosure here is mandated by law, passed by the House and the Senate and signed by Trump. Trump and the DOJ are flouting the law daily. The victims of Epstein requested this law. It would seem you should care more about the victims and getting justice for how they were raped, tortured and abused, than protecting people who hobnobbed with Epstein after his conviction in 2008.
