This election nonsense by Trump may end up splitting up the Republican Party. I just don’t see how the one third (?) who are principled conservatives can stay in the same party with Trump sycophants who are willing to sign onto the TX Supreme Court case.

We also saw the alt right types chanting “destroy the GOP” in Washington today because they didn’t keep Trump in power. I think the Q types will also hold the same ill will toward the traditional Republican Party. In fact its quite possible that all the voters who are really in a Trump personality cult will also blame the GOP for his loss. It’s only a matter of time IMO before Trump himself gets around to blaming the GOP.

There is some discussion of this on Twitter. What do you all think?

How could you possibly disagree? She literally refused to answer the question.
Because I'm not going to speak to that for personal reasons. Feel free to draw your own conclusions.
That sounds like a public employee talking point.
Lmao, it's not though. I'm telling you from first hand observation, based on the office I actually work in.

I'm mystified at that answer, so I can draw no conclusions from it.

It sure sounds like it. Every time I have this discussion with a public employee, they parrot the same talking points.

I suggest you have a little empathy.

Tall task for a political movement based on the devaluing of large swaths of American people and the American government.

You're a disabled, mid-level federal worker who works at home; this group of people, in addition to lots of others, Trump and his supporters love to loathe and demonize as the real problems of this country.

    But America first, right?

Indeed. Along with Trump, what you outlined is precisely why I left the party.

For all of the complaining you do about how you are treated here- and this is for @SaintForLife to look at as well since he has an issue with how conservatives are treated- this is the most ridiculous personal attack I've seen on this board. If you are genuinely a 60-something-year-old guy, you ought to be ashamed that you behave like a child.
Are you being sarcastic? It was a ridiculous personal attack? Did you mean to quote a different post? I don't see a personal attack at all. What's the worst thing he said? That Dave should go to work and not work at home? That's a pretty mild suggestion.

The "OMG we need to investigate federal workers who work at home" is the weirdest, boomer flex yet.

I mean, do these people live in reality? COVID accelerated a trend already in both the public and private sectors.

Do these people actually realize that lots of work in all aspects of corporate and public life and work can be done...at home?

I mean, the 20th century, white-collar existence was pretty much defined by commuting to a building and sitting behind a desk or typewriter.

So we're going to "drain the swamp" by forcing federal workers to commute to work in buildings to save money?

LOL. These people have absolutely no sense of reality.

That's not at all an accurate summary of what just occurred. Stop. Gaslighting.

They both constantly try to tell people how they should post.
Yes, and they like to work in tandem.

I did a quick check because it was MT15 who I thought had used "she" with cuddlemonkey. Maybe it was the other way around. I did remember where MT15 had called cuddlemonkey "cuddles" and that seemed more like a way to address a female, so that is probably what it was.

The carping and repetitive correction with shrewish tones is something that I would associate as being stereotypical to a woman. Admittedly, a negative and unfair stereotype, but a woman stereotype.

I have to say, cuddlemonkey's antics are not so amusing now that I know it is a man acting like that. It seems a little creepy. I am considering blocking him, but I would have to block MT also. Otherwise MT would just make posts like "I agree with cuddlemonkey when he says that Sack is wrong again about __________________."

He's mad...at a lot of things. His angst fuels him. So he hears something on one of his preferred media, says hmmm yeah why is that and then runs to his message boards to start parroting.

Here is what I find fascinating.. I have a client (husband and wife) both are educators. They. Just. Like. Him. It's quite astounding and terrifying that educators hold this pent up anger at some of the most trial aspects of life. Curious how they arrived there. Everything, and I mean everything, to them is either wrong or a scam.

    Unless it's Trump related.

Then perhaps you aren't actually reading what is being said. But if that one doesn't work for you, how about Snark's repeated use of negative stereotypes about women? Maybe we can agree on that as a personal attack that just shouldn't fly?

Educators are just now finding out how bad the "work at home" was for school kids. We have a group that were in kinder for the 2020 - 2021 school year. We call them the COVID Kinder. They are crazy behind now. It is really sad, and so unnecessary.

You labeled them? Amongst yourselves or you speak about them like that publicly?

There is no greater oppression than labeling a group and continuing to use that label to remind them of what it is they struggle with.

You aren't an educator in any sense of the word. You are an angry bitter person looking to project all your perceived ills to everyone else as the reason. Government, authority etc. Everyone else is the reason.

    Never you.

That's what is really really sad in all of this.

As an educator you should know just how resilient and adaptive kids are.

    With the proper teaching.

    Amirite?

Aw, Boo-Flipping-hoo! Are you for real or are you doing a satire of people who talk like that?

    "No greater oppression." :haha-rire-395:

How about being smuggled across the border as an early teen child and sold into prostitution or child labor? Is that "almost" as great an oppression as the greatest oppression possible, which is - of course - being "labeled?"

We call them that so we dont' have to say "the kids who started kinder during COVID" every time we plan. We prefer to use our time planning ways to help those victims of the shutdowns to coming up with "non-oppressive" ways to refer to them.

Sounding so angry and bitter when you call someone else an angry and bitter person turns your post into unintentional self-parody.

    Plus that label oppresses me.

    Help, help, I'm being oppressed!
