This election nonsense by Trump may end up splitting up the Republican Party. I just don’t see how the one third (?) who are principled conservatives can stay in the same party with Trump sycophants who are willing to sign onto the TX Supreme Court case.

We also saw the alt right types chanting “destroy the GOP” in Washington today because they didn’t keep Trump in power. I think the Q types will also hold the same ill will toward the traditional Republican Party. In fact its quite possible that all the voters who are really in a Trump personality cult will also blame the GOP for his loss. It’s only a matter of time IMO before Trump himself gets around to blaming the GOP.

There is some discussion of this on Twitter. What do you all think?

As the race tightens in TX - these are the posts of the GOP chair of Tarrant County - where the GOP is spending a lot of money, evidently. It’s fairly urban, so I imagine it may be trending purple and they are trying to hold on to it. This knucklehead should keep posting like this, IMO, 🤣

Kamala Harris & Elizbeth Warren to Marjorie Taylor Greene & Nancy Mace says you can trust women to do and be anything you can trust men to do and be.

when the MAGAs i know mention it, they all assume the XL pipeline was 'shutdown'. they have zero clue it was never actually built and was never in operation. they also don't know it was Canadian oil and not owned by US.
but that's what they are told and they want to believe it, so they do..

    ==========================

In late February 2019, former Maine governor Paul LePage, a Republican, went on a local radio show to talk politics. The topic of abolishing the Electoral College came up, and LePage essentially freaked out. A national popular vote for president, LePage said, would be tantamount to turning America into a “dictatorship,” and the types of people voting would prefer “the constitution of Venezuela” to that of the United States.

Why? Because, LePage said, echoing an old GOP line rarely spoken in public, if the actual vote reflected the actual public, “it’s only going to be the minorities who would elect. It would be California, Texas, Florida.” And those states are filled with Latinx and black people. Speaking of the movement to end the Electoral College, LePage said, “What would happen if they do what they say they’re gonna do, white people will not have anything to say.”

There are basically three types of people—or three movements—interested in limiting the voting public to white people and, even at that, to discouraging young, old, and working-class white people from voting just as aggressively as they want to prevent people of color from voting.

They can be referred to with the shorthand labels of Calvinists, libertarian oligarchs, and white supremacists. There is, of course, considerable overlap among the three, but generally the arguments made—and legislation and policy advanced— reflect one of these three core belief systems..................

Yo, Mr LePage. Us palefaces are still a majority. How on Earth can you say with a straight face that "...only going to be minorities who would elect." It's right there in the name, dude. Mi-Nor-Ity. Minorities are by definition NOT majorities, which you need to win an election.

Terrified of 2044, when according to Census projections all minorities combined will be more than white people and America becomes a majority minority nation

    posted before

    You know why

    You know EXACTLY why

it's the same reason the China Flu is racist

because it's used to excuse and encourage racist behavior and opinions

The 13% is a population version of "might makes right"

They're ONLY 13%. Who cares what they think?

They're ONLY 13%. Who cares what they want?

We can treat them however we want. They're ONLY 13%, What can they do about it?

Why are we changing all these rules, laws, attitudes and mindsets for ONLY 13%

    The problem with this attitude?

The year 2044. That's the year when according to the Census Bureau the United States of America will become a majority minority country

White people will still be the single most populous race but all other races combined will be more than 50%

When you hear "they're taking our country" that's what they're talking about, that's what they're worried about, that's what they're terrified about

But what they are most terrified about, is being treated like they've treated everyone else

When the attitude is "Might makes right", and you've been wielding that hammer for centuries and you lose your "might" you're scared just waiting for the hammer blow

The article I have copied and pasted is NOT suggesting Trump should drop out and Nikki Haley should take over. This article eventually makes the point that Speaker Mike Johnson should model his approach to MAGA and Trump vs doing what is best for all the down ballot races....Speaker Johnson should take a page out of the Nikki Haley playbook and not stroke Trump's ego but push him to campaign in a manner that has a better chance of succeeding.
My intro here is not perfect but I hope some people find this article to be interesting...
