Trump VP selection process begins (1 Viewer)

It was the interview with Tucker Carlson. What the heck are you talking about? He made a dumb statement trying to be cool with Tucker and now he has to face the consequences.
If Greg Harris could find that video, the media could have easily found it as well for their reports. You can still disagree with his comment, but why not provide the context?

It's because the media is an arm of the Democrat party & the years of covering for Bidens condition(among plenty other examples) shows exactly what they are.

The first thing I saw was that this wasn’t the same speech. If you knew it wasn’t the same speech, and honestly - how could you NOT know - why would you come in here and post a tweet that lies about it? Without at least acknowledging that the person in the tweet is being dishonest?

And do you think it’s better if he only says it about women who don’t want to have children? You think that makes it better? Good grief. Why should women have to justify the fact that they don’t have children? It’s nobody’s business why someone doesn’t have kids, nobody.

Face it - Vance is a gaffe machine. He is the gift that will keep on giving.

Speaking of a gaffe machine. Vance misrepresented what Jennifer Anniston said, and tried to make it into something “creepy”. Yes, attack Rachel, that will go well.

Then he turned around and lied straight up - he said if a woman is having fertility problems he would do anything to help with that. Except he wants to ban IVF, which is one of the most effective methods for combatting infertility.

Anyway - his tax proposals don’t distinguish between people who can’t have children and people who don’t want children. So his lame arse excuses are just that.

Whatever you think about his comment, it's not surprising that the media would leave out this part of what he said:

He said he wasn't talking about women who were unable to have kids.

Said Mr. Greg Price, describing the mainstream media reporting on JD, "They’re lying because they’re afraid of him."

But sadly, it is Mr. Greg Price lying (conflating interviews) because he knows his audience does not care about facts. He relies on outrage to get clicks, and poor souls to do the clicking. Clicks = $$$

    Integrity. 👍

He said he wasn't talking about women who were unable to have kids.
The argument he made was that woman without children shouldn't be making decisions for anyone, because they don't have children. He also said similar things about how only people with birth children should be allowed to vote.

So explain how it matters that he said "aww shucks, I wasn't talking about women who aren't able to have kids."

Every day, thousands more Americans open their eyes to the fact that every accusation Republicans make is a self-confessing lie and that everything else they say is probably a lie too.

The interview with Tucker is what everyone was talking about. No idea what speech you just shared. I don’t care to watch it either because no one said anything about it. Last I checked Jenifer Anniston isn’t part of the media unless you are talking about her Apple TV show “The Morning show”

Vance is right. We should stop meddling in other countries and focus on helping our own citizens.

Also, we should look at how our sanctions are devastating for the people in those countries.

I can't believe the Washington Post would print something like this. They are usually pro war and pro US foreign policy.

    1. ~1/3 of all nations on Earth now face some form of US sanctions. Huge increase from when mostly applied to Cuba & a handful of regimes

    2. +*60%* of *all poor countries* are under US sanctions of some kind. Has become almost a reflex of US foreign policy

    3. Sanctions have spawned multi-billion-dollar lobbying & influence industry, enriching former US officials who are hired by foreign countries & oligarchs

    4. Sanctions have had devastating effects on innocent civilians. In Cuba, they've made critical medical supplies impossible to import. In Venezuela, they contributed to a financial collapse 3X greater than the US Great Depression. Syria faces its greatest humanitarian crisis this year after a decade civil war & sanctions.

    5. Treasury staffers drafted a ~40 page plan aimed at reforming the sanctions process that was dramatically whittled down amid disagreements w/ State

    6. OFAC is widely described as overwhelmed by tens of thousands of requests. WH officials have brainstormed sanctions scenarios w/ outside nonprofits

    7. Biden has unleashed unprecedented volley of +6K sanctions in 2 years. Higher than even previously unprecedented rate of Trump.

“We don’t think about the collateral damage of sanctions the same way we think about the collateral damage of war ... But we should"

Actor Jennifer Aniston, who has been open about her fertility struggles, slammed Sen. JD Vance over a resurfaced 2021 interview in which he said the United States was being run by “a bunch of childless cat ladies.”

“I truly can’t believe this is coming from a potential VP of The United States,” Aniston wrote Wednesday in an Instagram story, including a clip of Vance’s comments.

Who would be surprised that the media that is trying to help rebrand Harris would dishonesty leave out what Vance said above?

Media: Harris was never the border czar eventhough we reported that she was 3 years ago and we didn't "correct" the article until last week when it was announced she was running for President.

It doesn’t matter but I don’t expect you to understand.

Some people can’t have children. Some people decide not to have children. That is none of JD Vance’s business nor is it any of your’s.

I am personally offended by his remarks and by your support of his disgusting remarks be cause my wife and I did not have kids. It simply never happened. Yet, my wife most certainly has a stake in the nation and world because she taught in Catholic and public schools for 35 years. She taught in a Catholic elementary school for 7 years, public high schools for 15 years and in the Catholic high school that she graduated from for 13 years. She helped students through difficult times in their personal lives. She supplied clothing to children who needed it. She supplied food. She has students who remained in contact with her for years after they graduated. She has been told that she saved a child’s life, that she taught a student to think, that a child wouldn’t be where they were if it wasn’t for her.

We have “adopted” two children she taught because they had no family and they had problems and needed help. One came close to dying due to an aortic dissection. The other was kicked out of her grandmother’s house at 18 when social security for orphans money ran out (her parents died when she was 12 and 14).

How dare JD Vance make such outrageous and disgusting comments? And how dare you support them?

As opposed to other countries waging real war or engaging in support of terrorism?

May I infer that you don’t care that NK wants more and more nukes? May I infer that you don’t care that China is building artificial islands in the South China Sea which is due to wanting the potential resources there and which is a threat to multiple countries? May I infer that you don’t care about other countries in Europe that Russia has threatened?

Your understanding of geopolitics is so lacking as to be non-existent.

As for helping our citizens? That is quite possibly the funniest thing you have ever written. The Republican Party does not care about anyone but their rabid, racist base. And the extent of their caring is limited to getting their votes.

As an example, JD Vance bleated about the child tax credit and the VOTED AGAINST EXTENDING IT. Can you see the blatant hypocrisy in his words and actions?

Otoh, you will either ignore the hypocrisy of the Republican Party or won’t care.

Btw, I do favor direct contact with Iran, NK, Cuba et al. That does not mean that economic sanctions do not have a role. I simply grasp geopolitics far more than you do.
