If Vance is so unpopular and a bad VP pick, why lie about him when it's obviously not true?

This is based on a faulty assumption that Project 2025 isn’t the product of longstanding efforts, which I think the general belief (outside of the MAGAsphere) is that it’s the culmination of years of planning.

How it was referred to and when it became public shouldn’t be confused with a starting point.

The general ideas of Project 2025 aren’t brand new to religious extremists like Roberts.

That isn’t to make a declaration of what Vance did or didn’t know at a particular time, but that Domenech is using flawed logic to mislead people.

JD Vance is bought and paid for by Peter Thiel.

He probably makes him drink out of a water dish and wear a collar.

Vance is an excuse for a senator for my state. He was, is and always will be a whack job.

His disgusting book asserted that Appalachia’s problems are due to the people basically being lazy and/or defective somehow. Now, it suits his amorality to whine about immigrants and fentanyl impacting “his people”. The only people he has are multi-millionaires and billionaires. His owner, Thiel, doesn’t want to support Trump because of how deranged Trump is so he is happy to have his lapdog go down to defeat.

Years ago. The RW think tank machine was revved up by the Kochs and the idiocy of the Chicago school.
That's very vague. Give me a date or just admit that Vance video the Harris account posted they claimed was talking about 2025 is bullshirt.

Your poster is being disingenuous. The policies inside the Trump Project 2025 are many, it’s 900 some pages long. Various among them have been proposed and worked on for years.

It’s a bad faith post you quoted from a partisan hack.

SFL: listening to the tape - what Vance says is exactly the heart of Trump’s Project 2025. He says there is no other way but to replace everyone that isn’t his brand of conservative. Which is exactly what Project 2025 proposes. They have even started a list of people who hold government jobs that seem to not agree with their particular brand of conservatism, and they vow to fire them and replace them with people loyal to Trump.

Vance also says - there’s no compromise, they have to be ruthless, and overthrow everyone who doesn’t agree.

So even though this was taped before Trump’s Project 2025 was called that, it is essentially exactly in line with Trump’s Project 2025.

Instead of quibbling about dates, care to comment on the substance of what Vance is saying? It’s horrifyingly extreme.

Doesn’t need a date but I will give you one anyway:

    August 23, 1971.

That was the date Lewis Powell sent the so-called Lewis Powell Memo to his friend Eugene B. Sydnor, Jr., Chairman of the Education Committee of the U.S. Chanber of Commerce outlining the need to build regressive, reactionary, anti-union think tanks and organizations. The cause was moved along by Saint Ronnie the Dim-Witted and his reach out to Evangelicals (something Goldwater had no use for). The election of Obama unleashed a racist backlash that Trump tapped into. All along the foundations and think tanks were quietly producing papers and educating, indoctrinating is a better word, Republicans into an increasingly strident, well, cult. Changing demographics and the election of Obama drove their mental instability. The election of Trump followed by the wrongly decided Dobbs decision, on top of others such as Buckley v Valeo, Citizens United, Hobby Lobby, the cake baker and the internet site designer, both of which were actually frauds perpetrated on the court, helped the Heritage Foundation to decide that the time was right to bring the fruits of their twisted minds into the light of day.

Of course, we could go farther back to Plessy v Ferguson which codified Jim Crow as well as William F. Buckley, Leo Strauss, Russell Kirk who were reactionaries that represented the love that conservative Americans have for authoritarians. Oh, let’s not forget James M. Buchanan either.

Wow, they have been working on Project 2025 since 1971? They must really like it if they've been working on it for 53 years.

The Heritage Foundation started with the foundations of Trump's Project 2025 a long time ago. Reagan was the first president they approached. He did a few executive actions they wanted, but rejected the rest. Reagan and every Republican president since has let The Heritage Foundation pick their Supreme Court nominees. Trump is the first president that has completely embraced everything The Heritage Foundation wants to do. The reason Trump has fully embraced the plan is so he can become dictator and avoid being tried and convicted for crimes he committed.

How were they able to survey all the illegals even the ones they never catch?
They catch them more often than not. Plus Americans are far less likely to be targeted precisely because they are American.

    When did Project 2025 begin?
The roots of it started in the late 1970's. Trump's Project 2025 was formalized as a plan in 2023 and Trump fully embraced it until it became public knowledge. Trump is only pretending he doesn't embrace it, because it's hurting his chances of winning the election.
