The football board had the very useful Daily Trump Tracker thread, which was a good place to briefly discuss the latest ridiculous thing that might have ended 97% of prior Presidential administrations even if it didn't necessarily justify an entire thread devoted to it in 2017-2019 (because of the sheer volume of these things). Since I don't see anything like that here already, I'll add one myself.

It's either untreated syphilis, dementia, or a con to claim that he isn't fit to stand trial.

"Mr Trump added: "For the most part, you have many states where they have so much water that it comes down - it’s called rain… they don’t know what to do with it.""

    Those Jobs numbers doe
    What was it, 266,000?

It's just the way it is, if the economy stays strong and without much turbulence Trump is very likely to win next year.

I get that the way Trump is is a large part of his draw and his winning the nomination and election last time are attributable to that, but man, I think he'd be nearly impossible to beat this time around if he was just a little less "Trump" like.

It's crazy that that's the thing that probably works most for and against him.

He claimed people are flushing toilets 10 or 15 times. If you are doing that you should probably seek medical treatment. He says there are whole states where the water only drips out of faucets. Surely people don’t believe this kind of verbal diarrhea?

So...it’s not just some Americans that call Trump a Russian agent...

The President is celebrating a rebuke of the FBI by the FISA court.

Tge rebuke is well deserved, but none of us should be celebrating the situation, especially the guy responsible for the executive branch.

Exhibit 10,547 of why Donald Trump is a uniquely terrible human being.

Anyone able to defend him calling out someone who passed away this year? Just maybe if he didn't act like a disrespectful dirt bag, there wouldn't be a push to have him impeached.

I think there has long been a suspicion that THAT is exactly why he is being impeached.

I do think it's true that (1) he doesn't help his cause by being a sentient burning trash pile and (2) those same personality flaws lead him to do all of the things that constantly get him into trouble (hiring people under active FBI investigations to run your campaign, paying off mistresses, firing people overseeing investigations for being disloyal, demanding personal favors from foreign countries, telling widows their husbands are in hell because they didn't appreciate the beautiful and luxurious funeral enough to vote against impeachment).

Yeah, I think most people get it. Democrats don't like Trump - you can even say they hate him - so they take a very serious power - impeachment, on that overturns the results of an election - and turn it into a partisan weapon, a political strategy.

You can keep saying that impeachment was used as a political weapon, but to believe that you have to ignore the facts available.

There is more than enough evidence to show that Trump withheld aid because he wanted an announcement that would help him politically.

You are free to believe that this is not impeachable, but you can't legitimately say that he did not withhold the aid for his political benefit.

There is nothing in the constitution that requires a high crime or misdemeanor to violate any law.

The nebulous "abuse of power" and even worse "obstruction of Congress." LOL. Weakest impeachment in history. To not see this as a political charade you have to be totally oblivious to facts and/or be so emotionally invested in hating Trump that it trumps all rational reasoning skills.
