I guess it's time to start a thread for this. We know that at least 140 members of Congress have pledged to join the objection. Under federal law, if at least one member of each house (HOR and Senate) objects, each house will adjourn the joint session for their own session (limited at two hours) to take up the objection. If both houses pass a resolution objecting to the EC result, further action can take place. If both houses do not (i.e. if one or neither passes a resolution), the objection is powerless and the college result is certified.

Clearly this is political theater as we know such a resolution will not pass the House, and there's good reason to think it wouldn't pass the Senate either (with or without the two senators from Georgia). The January 6 joint session is traditionally a ceremonial one. This one will not be.

Many traditional pillars of Republican support have condemned the plan as futile and damaging. Certainly the Trump loyalists don't care - and many are likely doing it for fundraising purposes or to carry weight with the fraction of their constituencies that think this is a good idea.

We even had a topic about that possibility too. Kind of funny reading some of the old comments
    Goes back farther than that:

So I watched the documentary 4 Hours At The Capitol last night.. holy forking shirt man, I've seen a lot of the video and everything but when it's all just laid out there.. it was just almost stunning to watch even for me as someone who's very familiar with it all. An extraordinary level of hand-to-hand combat violence.

The police were absolute heroes and I am as convinced as ever that the aggressors acted as terrorists. It was hard to watch and to compare it to the summer rioting that preceded it is complete forking nonsense. This shirt was to a whole 'nother level in multiple ways and that's just the reality.

    "The deep state" duh.
but how do we know he isn't the deep state? Only the real Deep State could commit a laundry list of crimes and blame the democrates for staging the consiracies and have a large group of people believe it and feel sorry for him..lol..

Well, it seems at least this guy is suffering a bit for his crap:
