I guess it's time to start a thread for this. We know that at least 140 members of Congress have pledged to join the objection. Under federal law, if at least one member of each house (HOR and Senate) objects, each house will adjourn the joint session for their own session (limited at two hours) to take up the objection. If both houses pass a resolution objecting to the EC result, further action can take place. If both houses do not (i.e. if one or neither passes a resolution), the objection is powerless and the college result is certified.

Clearly this is political theater as we know such a resolution will not pass the House, and there's good reason to think it wouldn't pass the Senate either (with or without the two senators from Georgia). The January 6 joint session is traditionally a ceremonial one. This one will not be.

Many traditional pillars of Republican support have condemned the plan as futile and damaging. Certainly the Trump loyalists don't care - and many are likely doing it for fundraising purposes or to carry weight with the fraction of their constituencies that think this is a good idea.

Fret about how wrong it is to kick someone in the crotch then do it anyway

I have it on good authority that if you angle your foot to more of a 45* angle instead of straight upward, she'll go down same as a man would.

MSNBC just showed a lady getting wheeled out on a gurney covered in blood

I've got the live footage from a local DC station playing. Someone said a woman got shot in the neck with a pistol, sounds like by a cop from the way they are talking.

Said they broke down a window and a line of cops on the other side had guns out, told them to stand down. A woman went through anyway and got shot.

Someone has a video of it and the reporter is asking them to text it to her.

When the reporter watched it on the dude's phone, she said it was in the actual Senate chamber.

Why the hell is it talking so long to get enough law enforcement in place to get control of this situation? Why weren't they ready for this and why wasn't there enough security and barricades in place when they knew these extremist where being called to the Capitol by Trump?

I'm so pissed right now. This isn't a protest, this is sedition and and attempted coup. All available assets, including the military need to be activated now to put these traitors down and restore law and order.
