She's just running around the country living out her cosplay fantasies...what a waste of taxpayer dollars.

    Edit: I couldn't resist...

Seriously, wtf is she doing??? Are they trying to make the case that DHS is not needed anymore?

From what I am reading all she really cares about is getting her picture taken in various locales and costumes. Some stooge of Trump/Musk/Heritage is running DHS, and she isn’t involved at all in any decisions. So basically she is the perfect woman in their eyes.

    LOL

Speaking of Fraud, Waste and Abuse:

She seems to believe her only job is wasting taxpayer money by galavanting across the US and Central America while taking photo ops and trying to raising her public persona through them. Talk about the perfect example of everything the right wing claims they hate about a "DEI" hires. Every accusation is a confession.

So, Steve Witkoff, the Henry Kissinger of our age.

What do we know about this man charged simultaneously with bringing peace to the Middle East, creating harmony between Russia and Ukraine, and forging a love-in with Iran?

The routine profiles tell us little about the 68-year-old Bronx-born property developer beyond the fact that he was in the same line of work as Donald Trump and that the two men played a lot of golf together.

But Trump clearly believes his golfing chum has exceptional negotiation skills. Why else would he pick him to shuttle between Putin, Hamas, and Bibi Netanyahu in a bid to solve everything all at once?

Kissinger had been a US army intelligence officer in the Second World War. At Harvard, he developed an extensive knowledge of foreign policy, and he became a leading expert in arms control and disarmament.

By the time he became national security adviser, he was “one of the most important theorists about foreign policy ever to be produced by the United States”, according to his biographer, Niall Ferguson.

    Steve Witkoff develops luxury hotels.

Sure, that involves negotiations, a calm head, and good judgement. But you can be sure that the KGB will have assembled a much deeper profile of the man who has already met with Vladimir Putin twice.

So far, things are going swimmingly, with the newly appointed US envoy describing the Russian president as “a super-smart guy”. “I don’t regard Putin as a bad guy,” he said. “I liked him ... I thought he was straight up with me.”

    So, he’s a great judge of character……..

WASHINGTON – Television host and surgeon Dr. Mehmet Oz was confirmed on Thursday to lead the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services on a 53-45 vote that split the U.S. Senate along party lines with Republicans in support and Democrats in opposition.

During his confirmation hearing last month, Oz vowed to empower patients to take charge of their health care and crack down on fraud, waste and abuse to safeguard federal health programs.

Oz, a familiar face to Americans from years as a daytime television host, also said he would protect vulnerable Americans while taking on chronic disease that leads to increasing federal health spending.

commit to doing whatever I can, working tirelessly, to ensure that CMS provides Americans with access to superb care, especially Americans who are our most vulnerable − our young, our disabled and our elderly," Oz said.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services operates under the Department of Health and Human Services, which is being led by Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. The agency oversees health coverage for more than 160 million Americans……..

On the campaign trail, Donald Trumprepeatedly promised to “protect religious liberty”, and two weeks after his inauguration he acted: creating a “White House faith office”, which will be led by Paula White, a millionaire televangelist known to speak in tongues who called the Black Lives Matter movement the “Antichrist” and once encouraged people to buy “resurrection seeds” for $1,114.

The move brought renewed focus on White, Trump’s longtime spiritual guru. And for White, not all of it will be welcome.

In March, she was criticized over an alleged cash-for-blessings scandal, while other rightwing Christians are unhappy with her new government role, with one describing White as “100% a false teacher”.

White will be “senior adviser” of Trump’s faith office, which Trump announced along with an executive order which created a “Task Force to Eradicate Anti-Christian Bias”.…….
