Bongino is an actual nut case. He’s roided out, which it is notable that so many in Trump’s orbit appear to abuse drugs in some form or another.

Yet every so-called conservative on here turns a blind eye to all this pure BS.

It's been my opinion for a long time that the political ideology for many people isn't much more complicated than they've been conditioned to hate Democrats. I blame the likes of Limbaugh for that. It's practically impossible to reason with them because it's no longer about ideas and policies but about emotions. It's how we get so many people voting against their own best interests and being okay with somebody like Bongino, or okay with a foreign born private citizen, with his team of unqualified and unvetted young men, dismantling government without a single care for the lives involved.

So do you think Democrats feel differently about Republicans or Conservatives? Neither policy has much regard for the other. That is the state of our politics. Deeply polarized. Working across the aisle will get you primaried. It’s sad but true.

I don't think there's even remotely the same highly evolved media apparatus, and for many people, supplemented by their religious institutions, that exists to dehumanize and condition hatred of the Right. With the ways thing are, I almost wish there was, to at least attempt to level the playing field. So to the extent it exists the other way, I don't think it is comparable.

Anecdotally, I encounter a lot more of the conditioned hatred of Democrats, having spent most of my life in very conservative areas. Having been a registered Republican and once a regular Limbaugh listener. Having relatives and lifelong friends and acquaintances who clearly, and at times, admittedly, don't understand issues, they just know they don't like Democrats.

Interesting. Perhaps it depends on your perspective. I have had people scream at me because I didn’t support Harris. I haven’t had anyone scream at me because I didn’t support Trump.

I haven't had anyone scream at me, but I generally avoid politics with anyone, whether strangers, neighbors or friends.

Screaming or not doesn't matter to me though. What matters is what I think is best for the country. It's clear that Trump is leading us down a road we may well not recover from.

We're pretty much now aligned with Russia against the rest of the Western world which is a mind-boggling turn of foreign policies. That doesn't happen with any other candidate...period.

There are crappy people who fall along the political spectrum. We agree. That's also not what I was addressing.

To borrow from something I was told when I was an assistant store manager for a Sherwin-Willams store by a customer whose order I had screwed up: she can take her challenge and shove it way up her azz. Frigging grifter.

So he’s off to a great start - which is total sarcasm. He’s a terrible human being who is a terrible Cabinet member. It’s not a stretch to say that his tenure will be directly responsible for people dying.

Editorial from that liberal rag, WSJ. Notice that RFK, Jr has a fundamental conflict of interest at play here which was ignored completely by the cowards in the Senate.

‘News reports this week say he’s preparing to sack members of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices. This is the group that decides whether and how to recommend vaccines for the public. Its recommendations help determine which vaccines are covered under the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program.

Mr. Kennedy is targeting the committee members for alleged conflicts of interest. But none of the members work for drug companies. They’re medical professors and physicians with careers studying vaccines.

Perhaps Mr. Kennedy doesn’t like that they have done research showing vaccines are beneficial and may have—oh no!—even advocated for them. One member advised a presidential cancer panel during President Trump’s first term on how to boost uptake of the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine to prevent cervical cancer. If the committee withdraws a vaccine recommendation, it could be removed from the vaccine compensation program and open manufacturers to mass tort liability.’

Addendum, forgot the paragraph about his ties to lawyers who sue drug companies.

“Mr. Kennedy’s concern about conflicts of interest is especially striking given his own ties to trial lawyers who sue drug companies. He helped spearhead litigation against Merck over its HPV vaccine in which he had a 10% financial interest. He recently agreed to cede his stake to his son who works at the law firm, Wisner Baum, that is suing the company.”

Another thought: we are on the cusp of getting some really amazing results from vaccines for all sorts of cancers. I imagine this will be set back for decades with this appointment. Decades.
