They’re already writing the check. Cut out the expense of the middleman by eliminating the department of education and you can write a much bigger check.

Root issue is the failure of inner city schools. Vouchers offer students in those school systems options. The local big city public school system has all new modern schools, teachers are well paid, and the state report card is abysmal. With the exception of the magnet school. It’s 5 star. And oddly in a 90 year old building.

Suburban public schools are doing fine.
If you support vouchers being available to private schools, then you might as well get rid of public schools, because you’re just starving them and killing them slowly, and the kids left behind are suffering. However, if schools are privatized, they must be required to accept all students, and not charge anything to most of them. Also, there will need to be a bureaucracy to manage costs and the schools will need to be regulated.

It’s a big city, inner city problem. The majority of the local suburban schools, around 15 different communities, surrounding the city are 4 and 5 Star(5 star system) and not having any issues with vouchers. And that is prevalent throughout the country.

No, it doesn’t. You understand nothing of education. It is not about returns. It never has been.

Republicans are cynics. As Oscar Wilde said: “A cynic is someone who knows the price of everything and the value of nothing.”

Beyond that Von Hayek was utterly wrong. The price of something tells you virtually nothing about it.
I am not convinced you even know what is meant by "returns".

We got trillions in debt because starting in the 80's Republicans developed the attitude that "deficits don't matter" and we built out the massive military-industrial complex, and corporate subsidies, combined with constant tax cuts that got us here.

In addition, we did a continous move of centralizing more and more power and activity away from the states and up to the federal government. It's not becuase of things like job programs that aren't even a pimple on the national budgets butt.

Efficiency is not the cause of the national debt. The problems are macro, not micro. Reducing it will require tough choices around taxes, the military, and entitlements that we don't have the political will to do and the kinds of nonsense being discussed won't even put a dent in it. It's just distracting from the real problems.
Of course efficiency isn't to blame for any part of the debt. Why would anyone ever say or even think that???

No one here that I see has ever proposed such a thing. How many do you claim want to get rid of public schools, and what is your source?

No one is asking for perfection. I consider it a worthy goal for government to be more efficient. I sure wish everyone could see some benefit from it instead of cheering on the status quo. How do you think we got trillions in debt?

Maybe you're just a really really really really really bad writer and didn't realize that's exactly what you insinuatated in the paragraph above.

What are the synonyms of returns???

Bestow, convey, react, rebate, reciprocate, recompense, reestablish, refund, reimburse, reinstate, remit, render, repay, requite, reseat, restitute, retaliate, transmit.

Weak matches. carry back, hand back, make restitution, pay back, put back, reinsert, roll back, take back, thrust back, toss back.

Toss Back! Toss Back! Toss Back!

    Thanks for confirming.

Inner-city kids don’t live in the suburbs, and most of their parents don’t have the resources to co-pay for their education. Charter schools, which are allowed to choose their students, often boast about high GPAs—but when they primarily select well-adjusted kids from strong middle-class families, what happens to those left behind? What happens to the vulnerable children who need the schools the most?

I am pleased that you like the word. It is apt in your case.
For someone seemingly working so hard to just insult, is that really all you can come up with?
Frankly, I am disappointed in your poor showing here.

Do you think using common monosyllabic words is insulting?
